You were out with Cicero again, fulfilling the latest contract. He was never dull, thank goodness, because traveling all over skyrim alone was enough to drive one, well, mad.
You flipped your dagger in your hand with careful precision, admiring the beautiful nature of Falkreath. Cicero happily skipped along, jabbering about how excited he was to murder someone and be with you, The Listener. So more of the same.
But then Cicero went quiet and stopped skipping. You admired your blade as you waited for him to say something. His silence was unnerving.
"Are you okay Cicero?" You inquire. He nods, then sighs. "Do you think The Dread Lord allows singing? Surely he will let Cicero...caper?"
You couldn't help but bark out a laugh. Was he really worried about this? But, now that you thought about it, you hoped he did too. It would get quite boring if you did nothing but murder people endlessly. You couldn't survive on just that for long.
Then, you had a thought.
"Cicero, how long has it been since you last danced? I don't mean by yourself. I mean properly danced, with a partner."
He thought on that for a moment. Then, "Oh, Cicero has not danced since Cyrodil. Rasha and Cicero used to dance often. Rasha was the only one who could keep up with Cicero." He smiles fondly at the memory.
You giggled slightly. "Cute."
You walked some more, but not that long. Cicero broke the silence by asking, "Why did the Listener ask Cicero such a question?"
Honestly, you had chickened out. You were going to ask him to dance, obviously, but Cicero was like a child. You would have to explain that to him. You didn't mind, of course, it was just one of his quirks you found attractive. After he said that about Rasha, you felt stupid. Maybe he wasn't even into women. Even if he was, why would he be attracted to a dunmer?
"The Listeners silence is making Cicero worry. Is the Listener okay?" Cicero stopped you and placed a gloved hand on your cheek, examining you in worry.
You blushed under his touch, and you were grateful for once for your dark skin. Hopefully he couldn't see.
You took a deep breath, a hopeless attempt at trying to calm your beating heart. You couldn't stand making Cicero worry like this, you had to say something.
"Maybe...maybe when we get back to Sanctuary, you would like to dance. With...with me?" You asked, averting eye contact.
You had never felt this nervous in your life. Not even when you battled Alduin, or Miraak.
Cicero's hand moved from your cheek back to his side. You continued walking, though at a faster pace now. If you just pretended this didn't happen: It didn't. It was just a dance, it didn't mean anything. It didn't mean anything if you didn't let it.
"Listener?"
"Yeah?"
"Cicero wants to dance with the Listener. Cicero would love to dance with the Listener! Cicero wants to dance right now!"
"Really? We'll dance once this contract is done."
"No, now!" He pulled your hand excitedly and you headed right back to the Sanctuary.

Everyone was out completing their own contracts, which meant you had the whole Sanctuary to yourselves. You weren't sure why you were so nervous, except you were. Cicero was so attractive, and funny, and cute...
Cicero left you to go who knows where, and you decided you should dress up. You hadn't done that in a while, seeing as there was no time between contracts and slaying dragons. You rustled through your personal wardrobe and selected a red dress you had worn the day you left Morrowind.
You had so many memories with this dress.
As you pulled it on, you heard soft Lute playing and humming.
You smiled and changed your hair quickly, rushing down the stairs, and toward the music. You found Cicero in a dapper suit, his hair down and neatly brushed, and no hat. He was smirking at you and dancing alone to the bard he had seemingly trapped and forced to play.
He was hot.
You felt your face flaming as he approached you and held out a gloveless hand, which you obviously took. He pulled you close to him and you danced, slowly and sweetly, you following his lead for once. As you danced, you decided to strike up some small talk.
"It's nice to have you alone to myself, Cicero. You're always tending to the Night Mother, or we're killing someone. We don't really get a lot of alone time." Your voice shook slightly and you leaned into him more, still scared of the unknown.
Did he know you liked him?
He giggled and spun you. "Does the Listener wish to spend more time like this with Cicero?"
You sighed and admitted you did.
"Why?"
Such a simple question, yet it carried so much weight. You hid your face in his neck, a blush spreading across your face.
"Can we just dance Cicero?"
Cicero's breathing got quieter and he nodded. You danced in silence for a while, and you could feel your feelings growing.
"May Cicero ask the Listener just one question?"
"Mhm."
"Why are you always so nervous around Cicero? He promises to never hurt his Listener. Cicero is sorry, Listener, if I did something to make you nervous."
"No Cicero! It's nothing like that! It's just~" you took a deep breath. Now was the time to tell him, apparently.
"I find you attractive Cicero. Extremely so. I love you. I have for a while, and I was just waiting for the perfect time to tell you, but there was just never a perfect time and I~"
Cicero stopped dancing for a moment and smiled. He dipped you and leaned down until he was only a few centimeters from your face. You blushed and stared at his eyes. He was smirking, your heart was beating quickly, and this was extremely cliche.
He lowered his voice as he whispered, "Cicero finds his Listener beautiful, and he has loved his Listener since you stumbled out of the Night Mother's coffin."
"Oh yeah." You giggled. "That was sort of iconic."
For once, Cicero was serious. "I love you too Listener." There was a pause. "May Cicero kiss the Listener now?"
"Please do."
He kissed you softly, and you could feel his smile against your lips. You smiled too, and wrapped your arms around his neck, deepening the kiss, wanting more. Cicero reciprocated, trailing his tongue against your lips and running his hand up and down your back.
"What the fuck?" Nazir exclaimed.
You pulled away from each other and blushed. "Oh. Uh, hi Nazir!"

Ugh, I love Cicero so much. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed! Please comment, vote, and send a request! Hopefully I'll have another one up soon, I think this one will be a Farkas x Reader. Probably.
