"It's so expensive, I cant accept a gift like this," I shook my head giving the ring to Diver.

He didn't take it, "Aloha look, if I cared about it being expensive, I wouldn't have bought it in the first place."

He pushed my hand back towards me, the ring still in between my stained fingers.

I sighed, "if you say so..."

The ring fit perfectly on my finger, it was a simple silver banded ring but it had red diamond cherry in the center. How ironic.

Diver finished eating his burger as I continued to admire the ring, occasionally stuffing a cherry or two in my mouth as I did so. He stuffed his box back in the bag and sat there watching me, his chin resting on his hand.

"Hmm?" I said still looking at the ring.

"Watcha doin'?" He asked drumming his fingers on his cheek.

"Nothing," I mumbled back stuffing another cherry in my mouth and taking a sip of my drink.

"Do you wanna go on another date?" He asked.

I stared wide eyed as I choked a little on my drink. I started coughing and set the drink back down on the table, burying my head in my arms as I continued to cough.

"It helps if you take a drink," Diver said tapping on my boba tea.

I looked up, glaring at him, and grabbed my tea taking a large sip of it. The coughing slowly went away and everything became awkward.

"So...?" Diver asked, "how about that date?"

I sighed burying my head in my hands, "sure..."

I could almost feel his grin from here, "sweet, I'll pick you up at 7 again tomorrow."

Fact: that thing about the drink is actually true, if you're drinking water or something and it goes down the wrong tube (hence the coughing) just drink it again to help
