"One cherry boba tea," Diver said placing a drink down in front of me, snapping me out of my daze.
"I didn't order this," I said pushing it a little bit away.
He giggled and pushed it closer to me. "I know, I ordered it for you," he cooed kissing my cheek making a blush erupt across my face. "It's on the house, so drink up before my boss gets mad that I wasted it."
I sighed and began drinking it as I continued to stare off into space. Diver cleaned the counter in front of me, watching me as he did so.
"Hey, Inkopolis to Aloha, you're drooling." I snapped out of my daze, again, staring up at Diver. He motioned to a portion of my mouth, motioning for me to wipe something away. I stared confused as I wiped away the drool. "What were you even thinking about; my hot body?" He asked giggling.
My face flushed a bright pink and I shook my head. "No," I said taking another sip and looking away from him.
"Oh? So then what were you thinking about?" He asked leaning in closer to me, making me blushing even more.
"N-nothing," I stuttered out turning my head away from him. "It's just, yesterday, when we were all hanging out and battling like we used to before... everyone looked so happy."
He raised an eyebrow. "Yea what about that?"
"I was wondering..." I trailed off taking another sip of my drink. "Should we get back together; and you know, start turfing again?"
He sighed and walked out from behind the counter, sitting next to me. I half expected him to start giving me some supportive emotional speech saying 'you decide whatever you think is best', but this Diver. "No," he stated bluntly. "Yea, yesterday was fun, but take a look at us now. I have a job, StrawHat is spending more time with her family. Octoglasses is going on adventures, sure they may not be far, but she's still doing it.
"Yea getting together every now and then to play occasionally, and hang out, that's not so bad. But when we stopped playing our lives changed. And playing again could ruin this for us." He glanced back over at his boss and got back to work.
I sighed and dumped my empty drink in the trashcan near me. "You're right," I said standing up.
Diver grinned at me. "Great to know." He took off his apron and hung it up in the back, grabbing his bag as he did so. "You ready to go?" He asked opening the door for me. I smiled and grabbed his arm, pulling him along.
Diver drove us to the ice cream parlor, which was within walking distance, but he wanted to be extra. We went through the drive through and got our ice creams before parking and heading over to the park.
"So," Diver began, looking down at me and licking his ice cream in a very suggestive way. "Got any plans tonight?"
I blushed looking down and shook my head no. He laughed in response and wrapped his arm around my waist. We continued walking along toward the fountain in the center. Diver let go of my waist and threw his napkin into the trash.
"Diver?" I asked looking back at him, noticing he hadn't caught back up. He was lying unconscious by the trash can.
