Cloud woke up in a room that seemed really familiar but not at the same time. Cloud sits up on the bed and looks around, he sees some other beds, then the alarm goes off and is torture on his mako enhanced ears. Everyone in the beds wakes up and gets up getting ready for training that day. Cloud recognizes a few faces, like his old bully, Lucfier, a name that if spelled differently would match his personality perfectly, a small Wutain child, and a few other familiar boys.
"Cloud come on! We are going to be late if you don't hurry up!" The Wutian boy shouts out from the shower rooms. Cloud nods slightly and gets up getting dressed into a SOLDIER Cadet outfit which feels a bit weird. The other boys walk out of the bathroom/shower room and get dressed into the same outfit that Cloud is in. They walk out of the room and downstairs into the training room and Cloud breaths in the familiar scent. Cloud looks around and sees all of the training wooden swords. He sighs missing his sword or Zack's buster sword. He picks one of the wooden swords up and sighs.
"Cloud? What are you doing? You know it's Materia day." states Akiva, the Wutian, one of Cloud's only friends when he was in SOLDIER training. Cloud looks over to Akiva and nods setting down the sword and walks over to wait for the teacher. Third-Class SOLDIER Hazel Chocolate was their teacher for their SOLDIER training. He walks in and Cloud looks at his expressionless face.
"You boys ready to learn how to use materia? If so step up and give it a try." Commander Hazel says. Cloud steps up and takes the fire materia from him. He wonders if he still has his abilities to use materia. He doesn't realize that he has set the room on fire with a level one fire materia, which should not be possible, but as connected to the planet as he was, for him, it was. Everyone stares at him shocked while he is still in his own little zone.
"CLOUD!! STOP YOU'RE GOING TO END UP KILLING SOMEONE!!" Commander Hazel shouts. Cloud snaps out of his dream-land and instantly stops his power with wide eyes he looks towards commander Hazel, "How did you manage to set the half the classroom on fire with a LEVEL ONE FIRE MATERIA?! THAT SHOULDN'T EVEN BE POSSIBLE!!!" Cloud flinches backwards looking around nervously.
"I don't know sir, it kinda just happened...." Cloud responds nervously, something he hadn't done in a while. Commander Angeal walks in with ShinRa's resident puppy following after him after the fact.
"What happened here?" Angeal asked kinda shocked seeing the situation with his own eyes. Lucfier points at Cloud and he flinches backwards slightly. "Cadet? Was this your doing? If so how? Not even General Genesis can do that with a level one fire materia." Cloud shrugs with a well hidden slightly nervous hand twitch. Lucfier smirks thinking he's in trouble before Zack turns and sees Cloud and grins.
"Angeal this is the cadet/friend I was telling you about!!" Zack says to Angeal with a smile. Cloud notices him and looks slightly shocked and his eyes dull just slightly. Angeal nods and turns back to Cloud, "Well then you must be Cloud, Zack talks about you a lot! It's nice to finally meet the person the little pup is always talking about." Angeal holds a hand out for Cloud to shake and Cloud shakes his hand albeit a little nervously. Angeal chuckles and Zack runs around him to tackle hug Cloud to the ground, only to find that Cloud only stumbles slightly. Angeal raises an eyebrow, no one is able to catch Zack, he's like a great dane, that's fully grown but still has the mindset of a puppy as he finishes up with the call that he had.
"Cloud can you come with me? The director would like to have a word with the Cadet who set the room on fire." Angeal says. Cloud nods and grabs his scarf which had bugged him so he had taken it off. Angeal starts off and Cloud and Zack follow him towards the elevator.
