-I haven't even written anything and my song changed to Bloom Bloom and I kind of went wide eyed and looked at my dark ceiling-
The wind blew through his purple-ish hair, his fringe flying into is eyes. He quickly picked it away and continued on his journey. As soon as he saw the flower shop- the same one he had passed multiple times before, but had never entered- he opened the door, finally escaping the unforgiving wind.
The bell above the door rang, signaling to the owners/workers that someone had entered. One of the employees, turned around from her place behind the counter and smiled lightly at the purple haired boy.
"Hi! Welcome to Bae's Flower shop! How can I help you?" She said, her eyes crinkling behind her smile. Kevin slowly walked up to the counter, when a boy walked out from the back room.
"Mom, someone called about a wrong shipment." He said quietly, the women turning and nodding.
"Okay, well I will take care of it, why don't you help this young man." The boy nodded and his mother, most likely the owner, disappeared into the back room. The boy stepped closer to the register and smiled a small smile.
"Hi, what can I help you with?" He asked, his voice soft. Kevin reaches into his pocket, pulling out a $20 and -almost- slapping on the counter.
"How do I passive aggressively say 'fuck you' in flower?" He asked, the boy behind the counter, who's name tag her read to be 'Jacob' smiled wider this time, laughing a little.
"Ahhh, I may be able to put some thing together!" The boy, Jacob, said, Kevin nodding in acceptance. Jacob walked around for a minute or two, before coming back with a medium sized bunch of mixed flowers. He laid them out on the counter and separated them so they were less bunched up.
"Okay, What is the situation cause some of these might not fight properly with the reasoning?" He asked, Kevin running a hand through his hair.
"My dad cheated on my mom and I want to show him what I think about him as of now." He explained, Jacob's eyes widening in slight shock.
"Oh, I'm sorry! But I do think this will work in your favor." He said, pulling out a couple of the flowers and setting them to the side.
"Okay, this is a geranium and it symbolizes stupidity. This one is a foxglove and it symbolizes insincerity. Meadowsweet symbolizes uselessness and yellow carnations symbolize 'you have disappointed me'. Lastly, orange lilies symbolize hatred! Is this good?" He asked, Kevin nodding. Jacob smiled again before going back around to grab a few more of each flower. He brought them back and wrapped them in a black ribbon, as well as well as clear plastic.
"Okay, your total is $15.37!" He said, Kevin sliding the $20 back to him. He handed Kevin his change and the flowers.
"I hope all goes well with you! Have a nice day!" He said as Kevin walked out. The purple head nodded, saying a 'You too' before opening the door once more. The bell above the door rang again, signaling the door opened.
Kevin walked down the street, back to where his mom was having a small breakdown while packing up his dads stuff. He frowned at the thought but his mind shifted back to the boy -Jacob- from the flower shop. He found himself smiling before he got to his house, where he opened the door to find his father packed and about to leave.
"Kev-" he cut him off by throwing the flowers in his dads face.
"What the hell, Kevin!" He shouted, the mentioned boy shrugging.
"Look it up, bastard." He replied, walking back to his room. He heard the door open and smiled that his dad was leaving. He pulled out his phone, looking up different flowers and seeing what he could do for Jacob, as a sign of thanks.

After several days, Kevin found himself walking back to the flower shop, a certain flower (and flower boy) in mind. He just hoped said boy was working that day.
He made it to the door, opening it as the bell rang, signaling someone had entered. He smiled, stepping further into the shop.
"Hi! Welcome to Bae's Flower shop! How can I help you?" Jacob's soft voice rang from behind the counter. He smiled at the sight of the purple haired boy.
"I am looking for dark pink roses?" He stated/questioned. Jacob nodding and stepping out from behind the counter and walked behind multiple shelves of flowers to find the specific color.
"How many do you need?" He asked, his soft voice slightly muffled from the space in between them.
"Just one." Kevin replied, running a hand through his hair and shoving his hands in his pockets. He stepped farther away from the door, in case someone came in and he ended up getting knocked into and possible resulting in a giant mess of flowers and embarrassment.
Jacob walked back behind the counter, setting the flower delicately on the counter top and punching in to number for the flower. "Your total is $1.83, please." He said, Kevin nodding and pulling out $5 from his pocket. Jacob handed him his change and the rose, before smiling at him once again.
He was ultimately stunned when Kevin shoved his change into his pocket, but handed the rose back, a cheeky smile placed on his lips. Jacob's cheeks dusted the same color of the rose as he tilted his head in confusion.
"What?"
"Well, I felt kind of back because I ended up throwing the flowers at my dad when I saw him, but I was also thankful that you helped me. So, I looked up different meanings of flowers until I found one that meant thankfulness or gratitude. So, thank you for helping me, and I'm sorry I ruined the flowers by throwing them!" He explained, Jacob's cheeks only turning that much darker.
"I-" He was clearly at a loss for words. Kevin awkwardly scratched the back of his neck and breathed in deeply before continuing.
"And, I was wondering if you would want to hang out sometime." He asked. Jacob smiled a little at his awkwardness, his cheeks still showing that he was blushing.
"I would love to hang out with you sometime." He said timidly. Kevin smiled back and held out his hand for a hand shake.
"I am Kevin, Kevin Moon!" He said, Jacob taking his hand and shaking it lightly.
"I am assuming you can read, But I am Jacob, Jacob Bae!"
"Actually, I can't read and that offends me." He jokingly said, Jacob laughing with him.
"Well then, I'm sorry." He joked, both boys still laughing lightly. Jacob quickly, and shyly, asked Kevin for his number to which the other nodded, writing I on Jacob's hand.
They smiled once more, before Kevin left. The bell above the door signaling once more that he had left. He hoped that the bell would soon be an all-to-familiar sound.
Different from the first time he walked away from the 'Bae's Flower Shop', he was smiling the entire way home.
