The Adventures of Charlie | The Lost Orphan

Prologue

"Once upon a time.", these were the words that made Charlie feel magical. Apart from her passion of fairy tales, she loved to read. Which as why she loved fairytales in the first place. But ever since the day that she found the "Land of Stories" fairy tale treasury, her life has never been the same. You see, she had just talked to her grandfather, which happened to be the most famous fantasy author of all time. But after about a few minutes, she saw a bright light emitted from inside his house. By the time the bright light faded away, her grandfather and great-aunt were gone, as in disappeared. she recalled hearing her grandfather talking to her great-aunt Alex, and they were talking about a potion. Surely, her grandmother and great-aunt weren't witches. Well, for all that she knew, anyway. She went to inspect the eerie and sketchy scene, but when she got upstairs to the attic, what she saw was unbelievable. The original Land of Stories' pages were glowing! "Grandpa Conner?! Great-aunt Alex?! Where are you?!"Charlie screamed at the top of her lungs. But that wouldn't work. However many times that she screamed, she couldn't get a sign of anyone! She thought, "Where could they have gone to?". This and more thoughts jumbled in her head as she thought of where her grandfather and his twin sister could've gone to. She looked around for somewhere to throw the magical object to. But when she heard something drop on the floor while she was frantically searching through the large attic that she was in, she saw that she accidentally spilled a book of family pictures! "Oh no no no!" she said, panicking and having hysteria. she watched as the book engulfed the entire book of pictures. "Wel, there goes those pictures!" she said, rolling her eyes at the magical storybook. As she ran around the room frantically, she accidentally fell into the Land of Stories book. "Ahh!" she screamed. Her voice ran through the whole neighborhood. Unfortunately, everyone in the neighborhood were too sleepy to hear her yelps. The last thing that she ever saw was the house, and after that, everything blacked out...
