Chapter 8

~ Korey's Pov ~

No sounds were in the underground cellar but yet the voices in my head were loud. The screams of my parents. The chains that bound me to the wall shook as I tried to escape. The only light was from the hallway, a single bulb. I watched as guards came down taking innocent people to their cells then to their death. I could hear the sounds of gun shots and bombs in the distance.

I should be out there fighting.

I heard foot steps coming down the stairs. I look up to see a guard carrying a small child, a girl. He opens my cell laying the girl down in front of me. I look up with a face of confusion.

"Help her please I know who you are and who you work for. Help her please." he says with desperation in his voice.

He takes out some keys and starts undoing my chains. I look at him then the girl I can tell that they are related, most likely siblings. He goes out to the hallway bringing back a first aid kit. He walks over laying it next to the small broken girl. I crawl over to the girl trying to get a better look at her wounds. It look she had been shot in the stomach. I quickly start working fixing and cleaning the wound.

When I'm done I look up at the young guard. He is staring at the ground tears coming from his eyes. I sit the girl up against the wall she is still passed out from blood loss but will hopefully make a quick recovery.

I get up walking slowly over to the guard. He pulls out his gun once he realized I have moved from my spot on the floor. I take a few steps back and put my hands up.

"Hey lets put the gun down I mean no harm I just want to know what happened" I say quietly

"I don't know I just found her on the street." he says slowly putting down the gun

"You and I both know thats not the truth"

With this he starts crying harder

"I-I didn't mean to she ran out in front of me and spooked me I didn't know it was her," He says sliding down the wall, "I shot my own sister," he yells.

"You know who I am and I can help you and your family but in return I need your help" I say

"I can't help you I'll get killed."

"No you won't I promise I just need to know if someone I care about is in the building. You care about your sister correct? Well I care about this person like a sister okay?"

He nods

"Good her name is Sasha brown hair brown eyes has a broken leg" I say.

"Okay I'll help but I can't get caught so you have to watch my sister and I'm going to have to chain you both up but I will come back" He say looking at his sister

He chains us up her close to me then walks off

I'm going to find her ...

Then we are getting out of here.
