The man was unexpected. He had just suddenly showed up in my garden. His clothes were burnt and he had a metal arm. He had only said one line since he came, and it was: "You're nice, you'll let me stay." And so I did.
I let him live in my house, train and work in my basement, where I had both a lab and a training room. It were for whatever type of fighting or shooting you did. No matter what it was you could do it in my training room.
When I went into him that day, the day he decided to open up and talk to me. He were punching another punchingbag to bits. He stopped when he saw me standing there.
"Who are you?" I questioned and he shrugged.
"I don't know." He said before turning away and continuing to punch the bag.
"You don't remember?" I asked and he stopped again and shook his head.
"I do remember, my name is James Buchanan Barnes, I just don't know." He spoke stepping closer to me.
"I don't understand." I said my eyebrows furrowed and my head to the side.
"Nobody said you had to." He said simply and turned away again.
"But I want to." I spoke softly, but firmly.
"Maybe I don't understand it myself." He muttered putting away the bits of his newly destroyed punchingbag. Then he sat down on the floor. I went over and sat down infront of him.
"Tell me I'll listen." I said to him looking into his eyes. He sighed, and then told me everything. Everything he knew and remembered.
I awoke and felt something cold against my side. Surprised I discovered that it was Bucky's metal arm, and of course it was stick to the rest of him. He were laying there beside me, shirtless as usual in only pants. How he even got into my room was a mystery, but I didn't really mind.
I saw that his fist was clenched and there was a pained expression on his face. That made me sigh and then stroke his face slightly, I didn't want to wake him. Just for the dream to stop. At my touch the expression slowly disappeared and turned into a relaxed one.
I smiled slightly, then got up from the bed and put on some clothes. I took on a T-shirt and some jeans. Then I went out of my room and to the kitchen.
I made breakfast. For us both, and it was while I were setting up on the table that he entered. He was wearing a simple T-shirt and another pair of jeans, and looked just too good.
"Good morning Buck." I had this thing for calling him Buck, and almost never Bucky. I think he liked it. He seemed to smile everytime I said it, and maybe it was some sort of good memory that made him smile. I don't know, but I liked it.
He just gave me a short nod as hello, like he often did, and then sat down by the breakfast table just as I finished everything.
"You know Di, this is the type of food I missed while being in the army." He told me taking a bite of his omelett. "Yours are my favorite, though I haven't tasted many since 1943." He smiled.
"Thanks." I didn't really know what more to say. "You know, it's really weird to think about how old you are." I said and Bucky did something that surprised me. He chuckled.
"You know, I think so too." He told me and I smiled.
"What about today?" I questioned and Bucky frowned.
"What about today?" He repeated my question and I smiled.
"What about we go out today?" I said and Bucky shrugged then shook his head. I knew he didn't want to, but I had to push him a little. He needed to go out, no human had good of being in for so long.
"It's fine, you decide. But at least I know what to do when we do." I said and he frowned again.
"What?" He questioned finishing his omelett.
"We'll go for a hike, up the mountain that you can see back there." I pointed behind my back and Bucky looked at the window and probably the mountain behind.
"Why?" He asked and this time I smiled a little.
"Because." I told him and ate the last part of my omelett before leaving the table. Bucky sighed behind me and stood up too.
"I have an idea." He spoke making me smirk before turning around. "We can go out tonight, just to the garden." He said and I smiled and agreed to it.
He was about to go down to the basement when I shouted for him: "Oh, and Buck! Why did you sleep beside of me this morning." I called after him.
"Had a bad dream!"

RandomSoo, this is just something I started to write after watching Captain America the winter soldier and it has just been in my stories since then. But I really like the idea, so here you go. And I don't know how to sum it up or much of what will happen...
