When we sat down in the living room of the tower everyone was silent. The room was pretty big and had great windows, so that you could see out over the city. It was a very beautiful view and I sat enjoying it for a while. Before we all finally started speaking.
"So, who are you ma'am?" Steve finally asked and I smiled a little bit back at him.
"Diana Martin-Campbell." I held out my hand and Steve took it, shaking it with a firm grip. That was to be expected with that, well, physique of his.
"Steve Rogers." He said and then frowned a little in slight confusion. Probably to why I was there. "Have you been helping Bucky?" He asked me then and I nodded smiling slightly.
"You can say that." I said and Bucky smirked at me and wiggled his eyebrows jokingly, making me laugh. Steve hadn't seen it from where he sat and looked weirdly at me making Bucky laugh as well.
"What?" Steve said looking between us. I didn't take him long to realize that it was a bit more than just me helping Bucky. It started as that, but then I mean... things. Steve wasn't stupid. "..Oh." He finally said making Bucky chuckle again and throw and arm around Steve's shoulder.
"Yeah." Bucky told him. "...Or maybe not, I can't be sure what you are thinking about." He then added furrowing his brows together, like wondering what he was thinking about.
Steve just grinned with a chuckle and then he turned kind of serious again. "I'd like to hear the whole story of what happened, though. Bucky all you remember if it doesn't matter, and from your point of view as well." He gave me a nod.
Bucky nodded and took a deep breath before he started. He told Steve almost everything he had told me, from waking up and what they had done to him. He almost cried when he talked about the missions, and all the people he had killed.
'It's not your fault Buck, don't worry about it.' Steve repeated at least five times while Bucky was talking. Then he came to the part where he had dragged Steve up from the water and then just left him there. After that he had walked around for days and finally that he ended up in my garden.
When he started telling about that, I began to add stuff when he forgot, or something that I had thought. Bucky didn't mention our kisses in the woods, or that he came to sleep beside me after having a bad dream. Just about the attack and that my house now was destroyed. Then he told Steve how we got there and finished.
"Well that's a story." Steve said and then was silent for a moment. "Diana, could you maybe go to the living room downstairs and by that I mean one floor under us. I'd like to speak to Bucky alone." He said and I nodded, I understood that he would want to.
I was about to walk over to the elevator, but stopped. "But before I go, what was that 'peace-thing' you two did?" I questioned making both of them laugh again.
"When we were children, we used to play war." Steve started to say.
"And at some point of the day one of our mothers would make us come in for lunch. And we wouldn't stop pretending to be in war and hiding from each other. Our mothers got so tired that they made us have a peace deal when we had to go in." He smiled.
"So every time we had to go in for lunch or dinner or something. We shook hands and said peace just like that." Bucky finished. I smiled as well, that was really cute.
Then I went into the elevator and took it one floor down. There was a sofa there so I sat down in it just thinking.
I felt so great to see Bucky so happy again, but I was afraid of what could happen. We didn't know if any of the other Avengers would believe him or trust him at all.
I was also thinking about the attack. Someone was obviously after Bucky, and probably the Avengers as well. And now, now I was in their home. I was in their game and that made me be in danger. Yes, I could fight and at one point in my life I had tried out for SHIELD.
But I didn't feel ready for the things I could end up meeting with the Avengers. They were the earth's mightiest heroes, and I hadn't even gotten accepted for SHIELD.
Suddenly I heard the elevator 'ding' and it dragged me out of my thoughts. Through the doors, kind of looking like a beauty goddess, came Tony Stark.

^I dunno what the heck I mean with that... There was just nothing that would explain Tony Stark in a suit (non iron one though) better.
Ehehe... yeah. I hope you liked this part and vote and comment for this story. I promise the action will start very soon.

RandomSoo, this is just something I started to write after watching Captain America the winter soldier and it has just been in my stories since then. But I really like the idea, so here you go. And I don't know how to sum it up or much of what will happen...
