We went to my house after that arm in arm. Once again, Delilah, Andrew and Ella are in the living room. They look a bit suspicious.
"Hey Ash," Delilah says and smiles.
"What," I ask, but I already know she knows.
"What's up with you," Ella says from her place on the couch.
"Umm what do you mean," I ask and Kaitlin squeezes my hand. I look at her and Andrew smiles, Delilah nudges him.
"You know what I mean Ash," Ella says. Delilah told her.
"Well since all three of you somehow know, then what is it," Kaitlin says.
"You're dating, right," Delilah says still smiling. I smile back and nod. "That's what I thought." She comes over and hugs me. I hug her back. "Congrats." she whispers and hugs Kaitlin. I hear her whisper thank you and she breaks away with Kaitlin smiling.
My parents come home and are so happy for me. The ask Kaitlin to call her parents to celebrate. She does and they get here after a few minutes. Thomas is confused when he sees Kaitlin and I holding hands.
"Mom, why is sissy holding hands with another girl," Thomas asks. He doesn't know. We explain and he's grossed out. "Why would two girls love each other? That's weird." He'll learn. We have lasagna for dinner. It's store bought, but it's delicious. We laugh and talk all through dinner.
After dinner Delilah convinces us to watch Doctor Who with her and Ella. While Delilah, Ella and Andrew are engrossed in the show, Kaitlin and I whisper back and forth. Mostly talking about how weird Doctor Who was. Kaitlin kisses my cheek before she leaves.
"Text me when to sneak over," She whispers in my ear before backing away. I smile as I walk upstairs.
