"It's you..." You felt your heart throb in your chest and your skin go pale at seeing this boy again. "Astro." You breathed out. "H-Hey...! Do you remember me?" You scratched the back of your neck and pointed to your chest.

"Yeah! You're the sad girl from the private school!" He beamed at you. You, on the other hand, cringed at how he remembered you. He tapped his chin and clicked his tongue. "(Y/N), right?"

"Y-Yeah! That's me." Your cheeks flushed with color as he remembered your name. You had admired this boy since you met him, so it's only natural that you'd feel happy when meeting him again.

"Well, I guess I can't remember you by the girl from a fancy high school anymore, now can I?" Astro looked you up and down, no uniform. "So you changed schools, huh?" He smiled proudly at you.

"Mhm, I'm attending this school now." You placed a fist on your chest and worked up the courage to also smile.

"I guess fate brought us together again!" He opened his mouth to take a breath in again, but was interrupted by a dark-skinned boy leaning on his should and pushing him to the side.

"Hey Astro! Who's this?" The black-haired kid smiled at you. Was everyone so smiley at this school??

"This is (Y/N), we met a while ago and now she's just transferred to our school." Astro stood beside you. "(Y/N), this is my buddy, Kennedy." He gestured to Kennedy. "And Abercrombie." The large boy Astro pointed to turned around in hearing his name.

"Say Astro, who's this?" Abercrombie asked, being joined by another boy much smaller than him.

"Yeah! Who's your new friend?"

"I'm (Y/N), it's a pleasure to meet you." You put your hand out, they both shook it.

"I'm Alejo!"

After a while of getting to know everyone's names, class started. You made sure to pay attention since you needed to keep good grades to stay a the school, just like you promised your Mum. Apart from the giddiness inside of you from being invited into Astro's friend group, you had no distractions. At your old school, most of the girls would make fun of you, sometime even some teachers would target you.

"(Y/N) (L/N)! Are you dozing off in my class?" The teacher screeched.

"Huh? N-No I-"

"Get back to work! I'm sick of you being lazy!" The girls placed around you began giggling.

You rubbed your temples and shook away those memories. Your new teacher seemed easygoing, and she looked like a nice lady, so you needed to stay on positive thoughts!

As you had finished writing the notes on the whiteboard into your book, you began looking around the classroom, taking in its features and whatnot.

"Hey (Y/N)! Come sit and eat with us." Astro waved you over to his desk. You looked down at your little bento box and smiled lopsidedly.

"Ah... Sure!" You picked up your bento box and moved over to the desk crowded with boys eating their lunch. Astro had pulled up a spare chair for you to sit on, and you did. You opened your bento box and looked down at the light salad your mother had packed. Sigh.

"Shouldn't growing humans eat more food than that?" Astro looked down at your lunch, to which you quickly shut. "Oh uh.. Sorry." He looked into his own bento Zoran had made for him. "You can have some of mine!" He placed two rolls of sushi into your bento.

"You can have some of my chicken if you'd like." Kennedy showed you his box.

"I've got some spare soya source!"

The three boys glanced over to Abercrombie who had quickly stuffed all his lunch into his mouth before it became his turn to share with you. "Shorry, I ate all mine." He murmured with a full mouth. The other scolded Abercrombie while you laughed.

"It's okay- really, you don't need to give me all this food. My mother says I need to eat to stay nice and skinny at this age." You looked at the bits of the food they had offered you. As much as you wanted to take it, you couldn't seem like a pig in front of your new friends. Astro's smile saddened a little.

"Don't worry about it (Y/N)!" Alejo pushed up his glasses.

"Yeah- think of it as a welcoming gift to our friend group!" Astro beamed and moved your bento box closer to you. After that, they continued chatting about things they had done over the weekend and let you into their conversations multiple times. You answered timidly since you hadn't been treated with such kindness like this before.

You shyly nibbled on your food, making frantic glances at everyone, but they weren't staring. Nobody cared. It was somewhat of a relief, but you still looked away every time you took a bite out of your food out of habit.

"Do you think Reno has finished his new machine?" Abercrombie leaned over the table to snatch some of Kennedy's food.

"Not sure, maybe we should check on him after school." Alejo shrugged.

"Who is Reno?" You shut your now empty bento box. "If I may ask."

"Oh right, Reno is one of our friends that doesn't go to our school. He's super smart, and tall" Astro placed his index finger on his chin.

"You should come with us to meet him!" Alejo exclaimed.

"S-Sure. He sounds like a nice guy." You nodded. Then the bell went.

"Welp! Time for math."

You hiked up your bag on your back and looked around for your new friends. 'They should be around here somewhere.' You thought to yourself. You stood on your tippy-toes to try and look above the crowd of students trying to leave the school. 'Surely they wouldn't have forgotten about me.' You fiddled with the hem of your sleeve. "Astro..?"

"Yeah! You can totally come! We'll have a real good time." A girl towered over your desk.

"Wow... Uh, jee thanks guys. I'd be happy to spend time with you." A tired smile crept up on your face.

"Coolio! Meet you at the back of school after class!" They scurried off giggling to themselves.

Soon after that, classes had finished and you made your way to the back of the school. You couldn't wait to tell your sisters and parents you actually hung out with some cool girls! You turned the corner and leaned against the brick wall, waiting for your classmates to arrive.

A few minutes later, they still hadn't come. That's okay, they're probably a little late.

Half an hour later. They're really late!

An hour later. The sun is setting now.

Two hours.

Three hours.

Four hours.

You wiped your cheeks and sniffled. You didn't even realize you were crying by this point. You picked up your backpack and began walking home. It was dark and cold and your tears only made you shiver more. You wiped away your flushed eyes and walked into your house.

"I'm home." You took off your shoes and put down your bag.

Your mother whipped her head out of the kitchen with a scowl on her face. "Now where do you think you were??"

"I was out with some friends." You slouched and walked towards the stairs. Your mother was taken aback by your words.

"I'm going to skip dinner, goodnight." You made your way upstairs.

"(Y/N)." Astro's cheerful voice snapped you out of your wretched memory.

"A-Astro!" You whipped your head around to face him. "You came." You sighed in relief.

"Sure I did." He smiled. "Come on, let's go, you've got another friend to make."
