six months later...
Today is the day. Richie was discharged about two weeks ago, after being in mental and physical therapy. His sisters coming out to celebrate, his moms throwing a party, everything is finally back under control.
Everything except his Father."Richie, get your ass down here." Wentworth yelled down the stairs. Richie was supposed to be taking it easy, stairs were a little too much for him. His body was still weak.
"He needs to take it easy, he's still getting better." He could hear his mom trying to work with his dad, he knew he wouldn't budge.
"Shut the fuck up and go fix up this stupid party your fat ass wanted to throw. You'll clean this shit up."
Asshole, Richie thought.
"Stop talking to me like that, Wentworth." His mom, who goes by Gracie for government reasons, stands. Richie made his way down the stairs to witness his fuckshit of a father slap his mom.
"Hey, asshole, get the fuck away from her!" He managed to pull together all the strength he has left to fight for his mom. He'd do anything for her.
"Richie, please. Sit somewhere. Eddie will be here soon. I have this under control." Gracie gave Richie a reassuring hand, one that felt like a fake reassurance.
"Just this once, mom. But I'll fucking kill his ass if he ever touches you again." The curly haired boy had his teach gritted way too tight almost breaking his teeth. It took everything in him not to punch Wentworth.
"Get outta here boy, go wait for your fag boyfriend." Wentworth smirked.
"Okay strike two fuck face, you're testing it. Just because I'm healing doesnt mean I won't kick your ass."
"Calm down, Richie. I said I got this. Watch your language." Gracie was really trying, and Richie could feel it. So he let it go. He let it all go.
He sat on the porch waiting for the only thing keeping him sane right now, Eddie.
"Hey little bro."
Looking up, Richie spotted someone he wish was here all the time- besides Eddie of course.
"Cynthia! Hey!" He gave his sister the biggest hug full of all the love he had left. He really needed her.
"I really wish I could've been here when you were in the hospital but I didn't have the money."
"Totally get it, I missed you. Things have been ass without you. I wish he would just leave!"
"Who me?" Eddie peeked in. He was pretty short, and looking at what seemed like two Richie's.
"No, hey Spaghetti. This is my sister Cynthia, she's the one from boarding school."
"Nice to meet you Cynthia."
"Likewise, kid."
"Cyn, this is uh Eddie. He's-"
"The one you talk about nonstop" Cynthia laughs "I've been waiting to meet your boyfriend."
But Eddie wasn't his boyfriend anymore.
