"lets get some things straight" "but you aren't straight"

After the chester siblings met alec , he insisted they meet other shadowhunters. 

The three of them arrived to a room where two shadowhunters were training.

"Adalind , madalind meet jace wayland . One of the most strongest skilled shadowhunter" alec voice echoed in the spacesious room.

Jace smiled giving a hand for the sisters to shake in a welcoming manner.  His smile brightened the room. Atleast it brightened the room for Madalind , she seemed to like this golden haired boy.

"And this is isabelle" alec pointed out to a beautiful young black haired girl .
He stooped his speech to kiss her on the forehead . Adalind frowned .

" is she your girlfriend?" She asked . Immediatly regretting asking. Her cheeks became pink when izzy and jace laughed. 

" no , im his sister" Isabelle spoke "dont worry.....he's single "

" um well i didnt mean- "

" izzy stop-"

Alec and adalind said at the same time . For them it was awkward but for the others it was amusing.  They share a laugh .

" anyway can you hand me a shirt, alec?" Asked jace

" umm y-yeah sure" alec looked startled.  He made eye contact with jace before throwing him a shirt.
"Thanks " was all jace said without noticing how uncomfortable alec was.

" jace and alec are parabatai " izzy said to the girls.

"Yeah , we are like friends" alec said

" best friends ... actually family. The lightwoods took me in . And i was basically their brother ever since " jace corrected which made alecs face tense with sadness in his eyes  .
No one seemed to notice but adalind. 

Because she was the head of the institute she had to know everything thats going on but something about them being close irritatated her.

" i will take you to mom and dads office" alec said " we have some things to do. Izzy take care of madalind "

Adalinds pov

A sigh of relief escapes my mouth as i plop on my now to be bed . This was something i loved to do but unfortunately couldnt much of . Im laying there , wondering what im going to do next. All my life i have lived in the shadow of the golden child. Because to my parents everyone  is better than me . My cousins , my friends and my sister. All i ever wanted to do was make her proud . Is that all my lifes gonna be ? Making someone else happy.... then i thought of alec . He has the same situation as me. That explains why hes so misrable all the time. my thoughts get interrupted by a calm , manly voice

"So are you just going to lay on  my bed "

I instantly  jolted. Embarrassed,  i freezed.

"Umm y-your bed?" my voice shuttering .  Ugh i sounded like a squirrel.

He laughs . Damn.

" its my room you are in.... are you that clueless not to realize"

That jerk and to think i liked him. Wait do i... i mean he is preety hot and-

"Um hello?" He waved a hand in my face . I looked at him . He looked at me with an confused expression.

Okay thats it

"Well sorry i have been here for 5 hours only  reading , writing and signing papers without a break . So excuse my tired self whom didnt know where her room was " my sassiness exploded . His face turned from confused to amused real quick. Is this what he wanted. To see me like this . Vulnerable and weak beneath him. He was so close to me i could feel his breath . His eyes looking down at me .

" lets get some things straight you are here temporarily. I forgive you for this since its your first day "

"But you arent straight"

"What" alec backed away

"You think i havent noticed the way you look at jace"

"Shut up" alec said as anger boiled up inside him.

"Why should i? Its clear to see youre  head over heals for him"

" shut. Up"  he tried his best not to rip her to shredds .

" its sad that jace doesnt feel the same way..."

" stop" he closed his eyes. This was a toucht  subject for him.

" imagine what would happen if maryse found out.....she would not be proud but then again she was never proud of you. You always were and will be in the shadow of jace"

"Shut up!!"
Alec practically yelled as he grasped on adalinds neck , pushing her against the wall .

" you dont get to say anything . You dont know what youre saying " he harsly said tightining his grip.

" i cant breathe" adalind coughed out  managing to say "alec stop"

" please" she begged

His face softened.  He let go . She stumbled on her feet as she began panting . He came closer .

" dont ever get inbetween stuff like that ever again"

The door burst in . Izzy .
" im sorry did i interrupt a moment" she said smiling taking this the wrong way .

" actually you saved my life" adalind said when she breathed normal again.
Her and alec exchanged glances before he stormed off leaving a confused izzy with a scared addy. Adalind could see a hint of guilt in his eyes but she realised she shouldnt have said that.
