Adalind , madalind and jace were training . All of them sweating . Alec came into the room but stopped at the entrance. He leaned on the door and watched adalind do her thing.
"Impressive " he said commenting on her skills
She smiled knowing who the voice belonged to not even turning around
" wanna join me, alec?" adalind said noticing that jace and madalind were busy.
"Sure " alec replied taking a seraph blade
Adalind nodded. Alec striked and adalind blocked it. Adalind hit but alec dodged it. Alec knocked adalind but she knocked him down with her.
They smiled .

Madalinds pov
After the training session with jace , i went back to my room. I smiled at the thought of him. He gave me butterflies. But i saw him with clary and they seem close. It broke my heart knowing he might like a girl . Im young. I dont know what love felt like but now i do. Jace is my first love. I believe love makes us stronger. Adalind doesnt . But i do.
"Hey" jace says
Hearing his voice swarms me with butterflies
" hi" i reply lightly
" you were good today....getting better each day-"

He pulled away
" i... look madz dont take this the wrong way but i dont like you that way" he said it. My heart broke. Tears gathered in my eyes . I feel like my soul escaped my body. My chest felt heavy as i burst into tears.
" madz you are a beautiful girl -" i stormed away before he could continue. I ran . Ran i dont know where. Tears made my eyes blurry.
I turn back and see him kissing clary.
I didnt wanna be here.

Alec and adalind were looking for madalind. Trying to tell her the news.
They burst into her room and saw a crying madalind.
Adalind instantly ran to her giving a warm hug .
"Hey kiddo what happened " addy asks looking back at alec who has a worried expression
" jace" madalind mumbled still crying
" what did he do " alecs voice became stern looking at the helpless girl
" calm down madz " addalind trying to help her sister "deep breaths "
" i kissed him. But then he told me he didn't like me that way . Then i cried and ran away but when i looked back he was kissing clary and-'
"Hey, hey its okay" alecs voice softened " hes a douchbag if he doesnt like such a beautiful girl"
Adalind smiled .
" you deserve so much better"
When madalind calmed because of alec she noticed adalind wearing an engagement ring
"Are you-" she gasped
" yes, we are getting married "
