Thoughts before leaving

Everything was ready for the departure, shortly he would leave for the deep space. His body and mind were ready, but there was only one left thing to do, he had to say goodbye to someone.

<Hey, how are you? I'm fine, no, I feel great! I'm so close to make my dream come true! But... it's strange that you are not here to say "goodbye" or "good luck". Maybe you already know it, but I really miss everything about you... your voice...the heat of your hands on mine...your contagious enthusiasm...and at the beginning you were the shy one between us!! I remember when we met each other for the first time, we were both six and summer holidays had just started. Our mother were close friends so they introduced us. I was so excited and happy to have a new friend, on the contrary you were hiding behind your mother's long skirt. I tried to greet you, but you hid more yourself, you were adorable. Then the roles were reversed, I became the shy one and you the always happy and out of control boy.

Hahahaha! Man, you always got us in trouble with your stupid ideas,how many times your grandmother scolded us for your stubborness; sure I could avoid to be involved, but... I couldn't tell no to you or I wouldn't see your beautiful smile. God only knows how it drove my heart crazy and, if it was possible, run away from my chest.

We have been through a lot, we shared so many memories together... but I have a really special one: the day when I stole you a kiss.

That hot afternoon in July, you were sleeping peacefully, under the trees shadows and I was staring at your face,you were making the weirdest faces I've ever seen, hehehe probably you were having a good dream. Honestly I was hoping to be in that beautiful fantasy, then... I don't why but my eyes got stuck on your lips. And ,without realizing it, my face was close to yours but mine was redder. God.. I remember that I was panicking, my head was telling me to get away from you, but my heart was loudly screaming "Kiss him! Kiss him now! You Idiot!!"

In the end I put my lips on yours, I will never forget that feeling, the immense heat through my body, my crazy heart but full of joy. Slowly I broke that delightful bond. Then you woke up, thinking that a butterfly had settled on your lips, I smiled at that statement, it was pointless hoping, you would never return my feelings and I would never had the courage to confess to you.

It was fine, you were near me and enough to made me happy. For you nothing could separate us, we would always be together, it didn't matter how far we were from each other, our friendship would never end.

<Remember Takashi! Even if we go to different schools, we will always be friends!! With those pendants we'll remember eachother!!  We are like this sun and this moon...we''ll always be together! we complete eachother, you are the responsible one and I'm the crazy one, you''ll be the moon that will light up my night without stars, and I will be your sun always ready to shine in your days full of clouds!>

What beautiful words, also with your smile, I almost believed  to this wonderful illusion.

Now you're not here anymore..you are up there among those stars, happy and light hearted because nothing can hurt you. Now I'll leave to go beyond this sky, maybe getting closer to you, you'll see me and greet me showing your shiny smile.

  <Shiro, hurry up! We have to leave!>  Matt said to his friend

<I'm coming, wait a little bit I have to say goodbye to someone!>

The boy understood Shiro's words, so he left the room leaving him alone. The raven boy brought his gaze back to a photo, this one was showing a young Shiro hugged by a smiling boy, both were wearing pendants, a sun and a moon. Takashi brought his hand to his chest and grip the sun pendant that he always carried with him...during every day of his life. He weakly smiled:

<Look at me...I'm coming for you...my dear sun, wait for me......

Wow! it's amazing I translated my (short)oneshot, what a miracle XD. Honestly I want to publish more Voltron fanfictions. Actually I'm working on my  voltron oc's Story, Seizu Himura. For now I hope that you'll like this sad (and short)oneshot!
