The spot where Dark Link kissed me dances with warmth.
"What was all that about?" Zelda asks as I hand her a towel.
''It's nothing.'' I say.
She gives me a stern look. ''Kage, If I have reason to believe my people are in danger, then I mus-"
"It's nothing, really, he was just...telling me more about the jealousy thing!"
'Did I just cover for Dark Link?' I ponder.
'Yes, you did, Princess, and I really appereciate that. Have you thought about your answer?' Dark asks.
'Yea, I did, but I'm not sure yet.'
'Alright, let me know when you do.'
'Okay. Stay close!' Seriously? Stay close?! Metal facepalm, Kage, Mental facepalm.
'Always.' He promises.
"Always..." I repeat outloud, smiling. I wonder if I should go... What about Link? I groan. remembering that he likes me. If I go, I don't have to face that. I get more training, and get to be around Dark. I want this.
'Dark!!' I cry out in my mind.
'Yes Princess?!' He sounds scared.
'How soon can you be here?'
"Just like that." He says standing in front of me, arms streched open. I jump into them and he smiles. Zelda gives me a curious look as he kisses the top of my head.
''Shall we get going, Princess?"
"Yea." I smile, running to my room to pack a bag.
"What happened to Zelda?" I ask, upon my return.
"Impa came and got her. She said She wouldn't say anything. Impa never saw me."
"Good." I say, slinging my bag over my shoulder.
A black horse with a Greyish mane and tail waits outside.
"Come then, Princess." Dark says, smiling ear to ear as he pulls me onto the horse.
He grabs the reins with one hand and my waist with the other as his horse takes off with the speed of light.
Deep in the woods we stop at a tall wrought iron gate. Dark jumps off, leading his horse and I through the gate. He leads us through a grove of Willow trees on a dusty path. At the end of the path is a breath takingly large castle formed of grey stone and brick. The windows each hold a candle, illuminating the night with a vibrant orange glow. The castle is old, and designed in a gothicish victorian fashion.
''It's beautiful..." I murmur.
"You like?" He asks, smiling.
I simply nod and he climbs back on behind me and takes us to the stable.
