Convinently for the plot, there was only finals week left for school, so after hanging out with her good friend Alfr- America, she went back to her dorm amd started packing to go home.

(Y/N) opened the door to her house, breathing in deeply. "I'm home~" she said, in a sing-song voice as she opened the door. One of her gæ dads ran over and hugged her. The other was sitting on the couch reading a book. (Any TMI/shadowhunters fans here? Guess which is which!)
America laughed a little bit from behind her. "Hi Mr and Mr Lightwood-Bane"
"Don't be so formal, 'murica" (Y/N) muttered, almost unable to breathe
Her dad who was sitting on the couch, called out. "Welcome home! and maybe stop squeezing her, Magnus?" (Were you right?)
Her other dad - Magnus let go of her. It appeared that there were tears in his catlike eyes. "I'm just so happy"
(Y/N) Smiled, looking at her best friend.
America smiled back. "Are you going to ask them or not, (Y/N)?
