Chapter 2

This morning felt like nothing ordinary. It was a joy to take a long shower. I ate my food with contentment, and the sun hit my body differently. Had it been that girl, Devina? Am I excited to see her? Oh my, of course not! I couldn't have fallen for her so quickly, have I? Anyway, I have now arrived in my office.

Unfortunately, this day had turned quite a bit quarrelsome. It has been found that Vic, my Secretary, has been stealing a few of our manufactured products. She has always been amazing in my eyes before receiving this junk of a news. There was no more of a choice but to fire her. I sat in my desk's chair and felt nothing but to replace Vic with Devina. Devina is very well outspoken, sure of herself and very attractive. What a perfect fit!

"Is this the right choice, hmm?", I said in my mind.

I had already called Devina and told her that she'd start working today, but never has she thought that she'd end up being my secretary so abruptly. I announced the news to her calmly once she sat and settled in my office. A glistening and surprised look came upon her face.

"Are you alright, Devina?"
"Yes, ma'am. Do I look nervous, ma'am?"
"I thought you did, but I thought wrong"

She nodded and we both walked over to her station. I took my time to show her around and the things that needs to be done. She always replied in such a gracious manner.

"Sasha, you will arrange my appointments in a way that I won't be overwhelmed. I trust you with this."
"Yes, ma'am."

My company, Golden Cosmetics LLC, has been the top at providing the country with the best beauty products for women of all tones and skin textures. It was always a dream of mine to have such an amazing influence in the fashion industry. That is why it is so important for me to catch every mole that will stop my advancement.
