It was the next morning and I was walking to school.
My mom was so worried about me when I came home so late. I told her I took a wrong turn and got myself lost, and that where I was didn't have cell service. She was just happy that I was home and that I was safe. I told her that I was going to be at my friend's house when the school day's over, when really I was going to train.
I soon made it to school and walked inside. I walked to my locker and saw Rose pestering Joshua again.
I really do feel bad for him.
He noticed me and smiled. I gave a small wave. Then, gravity yanked me down hard. My back met the floor and I looked up to see Rose giving me a smug look. When I tried to get up, she placed her foot on my chest to keep me down.
"You're really asking for it, aren't you? What did I tell you about Joshua yesterday? He's MINE..." Rose said, dragging out the last sentence.
The heel on her boot was pressing hard against my chest and it hurt.
"That's enough, Rose." Joshua said, pulling Rose off of me.
Rose looked at him and she shuddered.
If you could look at Joshua's face, even you would be frightened. He had that look in his eye, giving you that uncertainty feeling. His face and his expression were darkened.
"Joshy..." Rose began.
"Don't even start Rose... Rose... The most beautiful flower, the flower of romance. The name means kind, which obviously you are not. I don't even know why your parents named you that. You're not even as beautiful as the flower. You're nothing but the thorns, always hurting people." Joshua said coldly.
Ouch...
"I guess the saying really does go to show. Looks CAN be deceiving." Joshua said.
Joshua sighed and turned his back to her. Rose was paralyzed. She couldn't believe what he just said to her. Tears streamed down her cheeks. Next minute, she ran down the hall crying. I sat up and rubbed my aching chest, looking up at Joshua.
"Joshua...?" I asked.
I saw his eyes shift in my direction.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"DO I LOOK OKAY?!" he cried.
His voice startled me so much that I jumped a little.
"THAT CLOWN KEEPS HURTING THE ONLY GIRL I LOVE!" he said.
We were both surprised by what he said. Joshua's eyes widened and quickly covered his mouth. I smiled softly as he faintly blushed. I got up and walked up to him.
"W-What I meant to say was..." he began.
His sentence was cut short when I kissed him on his cheek. I backed away a little and smiled.
"You said just enough." I said with a wink.
Then, Joshua grabbed me by my waist and pulled me close.
"Do you know what I'm going to say next?" he asked in a sadistic tone.
"Let me guess... Is it... I love you..." I asked in the same tone.
Our lips then collided.
His lips were so soft and his kiss was passionate, yet gentle.
When we parted, his face broke into a sly grin.
"Bullseye." he said.
Our lips came in contact with each other once again.
We only just met yesterday, and I'm already in love with him...
