More information will be added as I edit the story ♥
CERULE is vast, and full of history. So, to help you navigate through this story, I've compiled all the information you need right here!
Eldian Monsters—The benevolent rulers of Cerule; Monsters, yes, but kind-hearted and keeping their inhabitant's best interests at heart. There are six of them, and they dwell underground, as their bodies are part of the soil.
Impian Monsters—The Eldian's brothers; little is known of them.
Attendants—Special guards that attend directly to the Eldians, operating from their underground Lair on Monster Island. They have varied duties that remain a mystery, and no one knows who they are, as they're masked, and sworn to keep their identities concealed; to not be confused with Big Wall Guards, who are specialized Ceruleans trained in watching over the Big Wall.
Cerulean crystals—main energy source and material on the planet. Used for medicinal purposes, technology, transportation, research, science, and often currency. They're all over the planet, mostly underground and in the Forbidden Side. (Those on the Forbidden Side are... well, forbidden to take.) The Eldian Monsters handle and regulate the crystals, and monitor their activity through complicated algorithms no Cerulean is privy to seeing/understanding.
The Sacrifice Ceremony/Sacrificial Ritual (it has many names!)—A ritual organized by the Eldian Monsters, in which they select a healthy eighteen-year-old—male or female, and supposedly at random—to eat it. By devouring the Cerulean soul, they gain energy needed to keep the planet afloat (Cerule suffered incidents in its past that weakened it—see Planet Rotation Halt)
The Inhabited Zone—The "mainlands" of Cerule, where all Ceruleans live and prosper (see maps for details on continents)
The Forbidden Side—The "other" half of Cerule, built two hundred years ago, but history books have little intelligence on the hows and whens. It's blanketed in darkness, illegal to enter or punishment is given by the Sheriff (no one actually knows what the punishment is...). It's limited by a massive stone wall, The Big Wall, and guarded all over the continent by trained guards whose sole purpose is to make sure no one gets through—in or out. There are complicated and silent alarms in place for anyone who trespasses. And there are secret entrances around the planet, but no one knows who set them up.
The Rotation Half (has several names/nicknames)—Two hundred yeas ago, the planet stopped rotating on itself; a mystery to all inhabitants but the Eldian Monsters. The Ritual started soon after that.
Helios—Cerule's sun.
Lyca—Cerule's moon.
The Sky Clock—Since Cerule's Inhabited Zone is always lit up, Ceruleans needed a way to know what time it was; so the Eldians created a magical clock in the sky, visible from anywhere in the world, even during bad weather and cloudy days. It never turns off, and is operated by the Eldians and their staff.
Crystal Carriage—Cerule's main mode of transportation. Wheels are powered with crystal powder/liquid and connect on the transportation bridges. The steering is done with a handle (pull to ignite, push to stop; side to side to turn)called a directional lever.
