It's my first attempt at creating my own planet, from scratch. I spent months of research on this, drew maps, googled information and brainstormed for names. It's all original content and I do appreciate feedback, though I may not correct or change things that I feel would change the planet or the story in ways I don't want to.
Cerule is located in the Andromeda galaxy. It's about the same size as Earth, has a moon—Lyca— and a sun—Helios—and rotates around its sun, though a year on Cerule is a smidgen longer than a year on Earth. They have four seasons as well, though named differently, and twelve months. They have twenty-four hours in a day and seven days in a week (I can't tell you how much math I had to do to figure this out... and I hate math).
Four main continents and a middle island (which is actually bigger than I initially drew it) are its main components, and the climate goes from tropical to frozen, depending on areas (most are covered in the story). Here's a quick map (sorry for the quality, I made it myself and scanned it in):

And yes, the inhabitants are humans. They're called "Ceruleans", as they come from Cerule, but they are living, breathing humans, just like us. They're very similar in their habits, customs, even their food is similar—there isn't really anything exotic or out of the ordinary on Cerule (they eat a lot of chicken, to be honest :D). A few unknown animals and plants, and of course: the crystals.
Obviously, the humans don't speak English; they speak Cerulean, which in the book is translated to English, for your viewing pleasure. There is only the one language (although there is one other, that'll be explained later) but it has accents and dialects depending on where each inhabitant is from.
Cerulean Crystals are the main and most important resource on the planet. They are better detailed in the story, but this is more or less what they look like:

These crystals are part of the planet and are used for more or less everything. The main character explains it in the story multiple times, so I won't add anything else here. Just remember their importance.
