" are you ready?" Emily asked once more. They were all packed and ready to fly back home to New York. No Davina wasn't ready. Was she ever going to be ready to go back to the place where her heart as been ran over twice. She no longer had a connection with that city. There was nothing there for her anymore.
" No, can't we cancel our flight and stay a little longer" Davina begged her best friend. Emily rolled her eyes.
" Davina.... you're gonna have to go back sooner or later" She starts
" Why not later" Davina's eyes light up at the idea of staying longer. She didn't want to leave, not ever. She would miss the people and the food. The view she had from her window would be engraved in the back of her head. She'd miss Mrs Marisol down the street who sold freshly picked apples. She would miss the cute neighborhood boy who she had exchanged books with all summer. 2 months ago Davina was in love, she didn't even get to tell him but she did , love him. Now she's debating weather or not to go home or stay with Lorenzo the neighborhood boy. Who she isn't in love with.

" You're agent is fuming Davina. You haven't been home in nearly two months and they can't get a hold of you. As much as I love Neverland it's time to go back home. You need to work" She had a point. She couldn't run form Linda the agent forever. Davina looked up, she ran her finger through her hair and took one last look at the small village. The same village she have had the pleasure of calling home for the last couple of weeks.

" Davina" Someone called. It was Lorenzo the neighborhood boy. He spotted the bags and Keys in hand.
" You're leaving?" The look on his face was somewhat of panic and disbelief.
" Yeah, gotta go back to good old America" she responded. What?, good old America... what the fuck?
Lorenzo laughed nervously. Lorenzo was a guy , the age of 21. He was the same star sign as Davina with the same curls as Timothée. His eyes were hazel green and they were kind. But he ruined them by smoking so much, it made his eyes look more tired than kind. Lorenzo's cheeks are almost always flushed. Whenever he's around Davina at least. When she looks at him she feels sad. He looked so much like Timothée it scared her. Sure Lorenzo's face was a little more structured than Timothée's but mainly the same.
She still rememberd that day they first kissed.

They were walking down the streets of Tremosine. The night sky was shimmering like it had done for the past couple of weeks Davina had been there. They were talking about everything and nothing. Life, jobs and studies. Lorenzo told her he wanted nothing more than to be a journalist. Of course the cute guy next door wanted to become a journalist. He told her he wanted to write about crime. There were so many cases that had been done unfairly that nobody was talking about. He wanted to write about the country and the city. Lorenzo wanted to be a people man. He wanted to make people feel safe and heard through his articles. That's what he told Davina at least. She just kept wondering about all those years her and her parents went to Tremosine she never once talked or met Lorenzo. Maybe she was meant to be with him. Maybe the break up happens so she could come to Italy and meet Lorenzo. The journalist next door.
Children were running around, people were hugging and being friendley. There wasn't a a..albetter time to be alive. Davina couldn't deny that she was in love with the moment she was in, she just wished it was with Timothée. That's why it couldn't be meant to be with Lorenzo.
" hey, Davina" has he not stopped talking? Davina barley noticed. The world was spinning around her and nor because she was dizzy. It was spinning because so many emotions were running though her head. She stopped, right outside a flower shop that was just down the street that they were walking on.
" yeah" she answered. Locking eyes with Lorenzo.
He leans down and kisses her. Their lips locking tightly. Even though Davina enjoyed the kiss she couldn't help herself, feeling like she was betraying Timothée. She wanted him
Back and kissing some stranger wasn't really the best way to do so.
" Why don't I walk you back to your place?" Lorenzo said and into the night they walked away. She did like Lorenzo, but she was in love with Timothée and that was always going to be the end of her story. The story they created together. She felt bad for using Lorenzo, knowing nothing serious was ever going to happen.

" Well that is to bad, I really wished you could stay" He walked closer to Davina. Cornering her against the wall. Her breathing increasing immensely as their faces were inches apart.

" Em!!!" Davina calls and her best friend pulls her away. Emily was right, it was Time to face her demons and go back home. She couldn't avoid Timothée or her agents forever. The time was here and she had been hiding out in this magical place for way to long.
" it's time" She continues. Davina grabs her navy blue suitcase.
" Lorenzo it's been a lot of fun but I think I have to leave now. I hope to see you next summer" she kisses him lightly on the cheek before leaving.

"Oh and I'll make sure to keep sending you books via mail" she winked at him and entered the cab.

It was hard, having to leave Italy. It felt like a second home to her. She had everything there but life couldn't be a dream. She was ready, it was time.
