Let your guard down

Alex POV

I awoke in a rush screaming and sobbing. Loki had seized control of my mind. My body shook with sobs as I recovered from the nightmare. In the nightmare the daily battle surged aroung me as floor 19 attacked enemy after enemy. Hours into the battle all of us including me had been killed. I regenerated early and went to check on the others. In my dream they were all laying in Magnus's room decapitated and dead... DEAD. My body rattled with sobs as I screamed over and over again.

Magnus POV

A door flew open in the hallway as Alex stormed out and ripped my door off of it hinges.

"Dont you dare leave me you stupid selfish boy" She whispered clearly distraught.

Grabbing he hand I led her to my atrium and sat down with her in the soft grass. She stiffened and tried to get up and leave but I wouldn't let her.

" I know your upset so stop trying to hide it, what did Loki do to you"

" Nothing he did nothing now let me go" Alex screamed thrashing in my arms.

" Alex you are the one that came into my room, I am only trying to help you"

Alex POV

Magnus really was trying to help but i couldnt begin to explain what had happened. It was all to real and raw like i'd been slapped again and again. I moved closer to him nestling my head into his shoulder. Then the tears came again. Another never ending waterfall as the floodgates opened. I sobbed  fear still coursing through my body.

His arms tighten around me drawing me closer and I collapsed. Curled into his lap and cried. The tears eventualy parted and I was left looking and a concerned Maggie. I scrambled to get out of his lap and leave before I had to explain everything, but movement took effort and I didnt have the strength to do it. He strokes my hair as he whispered comforting words to me. I knew it was a matter of time before he asked me what I had dreamed of. 

For some god forsaken reason curling into his lap and crying was easier then telling him that I was afraid or floor 19 of him dying. His lips moved forming a question. one that I wasn't expecting.

" Let your gaurd down?" Is all Magnus said leaving it up to me to interpret the deeper meaning.

So I explained, I opened up and told him everything. Words poured from my mouth as tears has recently poured from my eyes. I told him the nightmares and my fear and everything that had been plauging me. Without even realizing it I even shared that I had a crush on him. To cover my mistake I countinued talking about all of my nightmares and problems glad that I had found someone I knew I could trust.

My words ended abruptly as something smooth and soft pressed against my lips.

Magnus POV

Somewhere along the line Alex shifted into a male. Dont ask me how I knew I just did (A talent of mine). He countinued opening up and letting his guard down like i'd asked. Paying close attention to what she now he was saying I heard the part about Alex having a crush on me. My heartbeat quickened and my pulse raced but Alex was still talking so I didnt say anything. Eventualy when he started repeating himself and rambling clearly trying to cover up that he had admited to liking me I decided to do something stupid. 

I pressed my lips to his hugging Alex tighter. Before I could pull away the kiss had deepened. When breathing was near impossble we seperated and stared into eachothers eyes. Both appaled by what had happened. 

Alex POV

Kissing Magnus was something I only dreamed about but know it was happening. We pulled away gasping for breathe and looked just looked at eachother. Trying to make this situation more lighthearted I stupidly joked

"Sorry to dissapoint but you just kissed a dude Magnus"

His genuine response was " Why is that disapointing"

In those few words I knew he didnt care what gender I was or who my mother was or that I was usualy gaurded and coldhearted. He loved and respected me for being Alex and nothing else.

This is one of my first real oneshots. I know its bad but Im still learning. It probably has grammar and spelling mistakes but bear with me I promise it will get better.
