The day I am gonna leave my family in my hometown and fly to New York to start the summer job I apllied for. I know the waitress is not a dream job but everyone has to start somewhere right?
"Teresa! Hurry up, or you are going to miss your flight!" Dad shouted from the hall. "I am coming dad." I sight and grab my purse. My mom was already crying and dad was unpationately waiting with his phone in his hand. Don't get me wrong he is the best dad but his work is keeping him busy..
"Alrgiht? Can we go?" Mom asked while she was sobbing. "Yes, we can." I smiled at them and for the last time look to our apartment knowing I am gonna miss this place.
We started our way to the airport and I looked out of the window just to see things passing by. As the flight attendant said my flight is ready I stood up, grabbed my purse and we head to the gate. I said goodbyes to my parents and wave them for the last time. I took a deep breath and went to the gate.
Since I sit to my place I put my headphones to my ears and played a music. Thank God I fell asleep because I was so nervous about my first flight. But i was more than happy with my decision I made to go to New York..
Finally we arrived to New York and I waited for my suitcase. Meanwhile I started pannicking a lot because I had no clue how I get to my appartment but rather how I get out of this maze. Finally I got my suitcase and I get out of the airport. It was hard. Because there were a lot of people and papparazis.
When I got out I saw a girl and she was looking for someone. So I decided to go to her and ask her for help.
"Hey." I said nervously and tap on her shoulder. She jumped at first and then she turned around. "Hi." She said with smile on her face. And turned to me completely. "I am so sorry I am bothering you, but I am kinda lost. And I don't know how can I get to my appartment. Could you help me please?" I was nervous like I was at some kind of appoitment for job or something. And I was really nervous if she is listening to me because she was looking to her phone all the time. "Yeah of course." She looked at me for the second time with weird expression on her face. Then she looked again on the phone and back to me. "Sorry. But aren't you Teresa? The new girl to David's restaurant?" She said looking for somethng in her phone. Before I could to recover of the shock that she knows me and answer her she put the phone in front of my face and I saw a picture of myself. I stood still watching at her with my confused face. "I am here to pick you up. David's order." She said annoyingly but ended up with a smile. I didn't know what to do so I just smiled. "Hey stop. Because I don't know what to do. Are you okay?" She put her arm on my shoulder. "Yeah, sorry. It is just weird that someone knows me here and I didnt' know that someone is gonna pick me up." I smiled at her. "Yeah. I was really confused when David said to me that I have to go pick you up. He is not dping such things." She turned around and took few steps before she turned to me again. "Are you coming or you want to spend the rest of your life here?" She laughed.
I grabbed my suitcase and run to her. As we walked we chat about random stuff and we were getting to know each other. "I am Natalie. By the way." She slapped her forehead. Before we arrived to the car we stopped by the starbucks and grab a coffee. "So tell me Teresa. Why New York? Why this restaurant. There so much more and better jobs in New York." She take a sip of her coffee. "Well.." I chuckled. "Firstwall. Why New York? I don't know I kinda always wanted to visit New York. To see the big city with lot of people here and watch all of the nice place in here." I smiled. "Yeah. That was I thought. But believe me. I was born in New York. And the people will make you go crazy after a while." She responded to my answer with a chuckle. "And why this restaurant? I honestly don't know." I put my hands to the table. "I thought it will be better to be a waitress than work in some company as an assistant." I smiled.
I was really nervous because I thought that I will stop by at the work to talk to David. But I guess it will not happen. I zoned out for couple of minutes and didn't listen what Natalie was saying to me.
"Hey." She waved in front of my face. I jumped and smiled at her. "Yeah. Sorry. What did you say?" "I said we should head to your apartment. Because I have to go to work." She grabbed her stuff and headed to the door. I followed her and we headed to my apartment. "How do you--" I didnt get a chance to finish the sentence because I couldn't believe that I am gonna live in this nice part. When I started talking to Nat she turned around. "Natalie. I think we are at the wrong place." I said to her watching at the adress I had in my phone. "No. We are at the right adress silly." She took my hand. But i stopped her. "What now Teresa? I really need to go to work." She place her hands on her hips. "I am sure we are at the wrong adress Nat. I couldn't ever be able to afford it here." I watched at this place. "Lucky for you. Because David is paying this." She laughed and she started walking again.
Like really?! He is giving his employees apartments? This kind of apartments?! This man is really crazy! Natalie get me to my apartment and showed me around. It was huge. I couldn't believe my eyes. "Alright girl. If you need anything I will be at my place. Just 2 apartments from yours to the left." She hugged me and then she left.
I played music through my phone and I started to unpack my stuff. When i finished my work I jumped on the bed and grabbed my laptop to watch some news and scroll through Facebook and Instagram. Then my phone buzzed.
Hello Teresa, I am expecting you to be ready in half an hour and wait in front of the house. David Black
Like what? Why is my boss texting me to be ready. I decided to not to think about it and just prepare myself.

I decided to wear more sophisticated clothes since it is my first meeting with my new boss.. I prepared myself and go out of the apartment.
When I got out a nice car was standing in front of the house and a young handsome man was staying beside the car and have a one leg resting on the wheel. He was busy with his phone.
I walk passed him and waited for my boss.
"Are you gonna stand there or are you finally going to sit in my car Teresa?" He chuckled and I froze. This guy is David?! My boss?? "I-I am sorry. You are D-David?" My mouth was open and i couldn't believe it. I thought it will be some kind of older man.. He start to walk towards me and I just stayed frozen. "For you I am Mr. Black darling." He smirked and stroke my cheek with his index finger. I took a step back right away. And he looked at me with a confused face. "Alright. Let's go. I am going to show you the restaurant." He took my hand and I quickly got my hand of his. He shake his head and chuckled. This guy is really irritates me and we've been together for 5 minutes. I got to his car and we headed to the restaurant.
