jeongguk knocked on namjoon's door. only to be answered with silence. the younger knocked harder, his eyebrows furrowing. a mirror image of his concern and anxiety.
"namjoon hyung? are you in there? i made you some herbal tea. it's good for headaches." jeongguk announced, his forehead pressed against the door as his eyes focused on his feet.
after a moment of silence the door opened, revealing the aforementioned, the pair of glasses that balanced on his nose was about to topple over yet the lad was too busy to fix it.
his figure tall and lean, didn't help with the fact that he was so modest with it, it made the girls and boys fall for him all the more.
funny how none of that mattered anymore.
he welcomed jeongguk into his room with a smile. his smile etched its way back into his face, creating two dents near the corners of his lips.
"were you ignoring me? did i do something wrong?" jeongguk inquired, his voice edged with guilt. namjoon shook his head ferociously, taking the cup from the younger's trembling hands.
"no, jeongguk of course not. why would i? you're like a brother to me, okay? i love you." he said pulling the smaller boy to his chest, wrapping his arms around his frame protectively.
jeongguk smiled softly, heaving a small sigh as the question that rattled in his mind was soon resolved.
"i was just too engrossed in reading. you know its been long since i went to the library." namjoon said chuckling to himself slightly.
his gaze averted and focused on the window, the vibrant colors of a sunset splattered itself all over the sky and for a moment namjoon was saddened by a sudden thought.
sunsets.
something he truly loved some time ago, something that brought nothing but satisfaction and serenity was now the cause for his fear and dread.
"close the doors and curtains jeongguk, it's night time."
