Penelope
Penelope sat in her car the place she had found herself hiding in once again, her legs pushed against her chest as she silently listened to her phone ring. It was Harry Lewis, she thought about picking up but what good would that do him, it wouldn't she thought. In her head she had become a burden and nothing more, and so it was time to leave again.
Scrolling through her contacts she found the one person who had ways been constant in her life, her brother, Joshua.
"Josh" She cried, shakily down the phone.
"Penelope?" He puzzled, the concern in his voice leaped through her phone.
"Are you Okay? Stupid question" He mentally slapped himself, "P, where are you?"
"Outside you're apartment building" She said, the phone call quickly came to and end and without a shadow of a doubt she knew her big brother was on his way down to come and save her.
Before she knew it, Josh was sat beside her in the passanger seat wrapping his arm around her.
"Penny what happened?"
Releasing a breath she hadn't even realised she'd been holding, Penelope explained everything to her brother, "He told me hes in love with me Josh, Harry, my Harry still loves me"
"Then what are you doing here?"
"I'm scared" She admits, sheepishly turning away from her brother.
Hesitantly he replies, "Of dying?"
"No not really, I'm afraid of what comes after, I won't be here to pick up the pieces. I'd rather leave with Harry thinking I'm happy and breathing then dead in a grave left to rot and wither away"
"Penelope, Do you love Harry?"
"Yes, I love him"
"I'f you love someone no matter the circumstances you fight for it"
"Is it worth it? To put him through all that pain just to be with him for the couple of months I have left?"
"It's always worth it, don't give up on him, not yet"
Leaning on the older boys shoulder, she let's out a sniffle, "Nobody said it would be this hard"
"Well to be fair, nobody said it would be easy either, you should tell him"
