Itachi struggled to get up that morning, his chest hurt so much and he had to keep his groan's and whimpers at Bay.

He didn't want to worry his parents or sasuke, it's bad enough his parents know there going to lose there son.

But he got up and got ready for his day, he left before anyone woke up. He decided he'd try to keep his distance as far from shisui as he can, he got home to his apartment.

It was a one bed and one bath, it was nice and tighty enough room for one person. But it felt so lonely and he hated it because of that.

He walked inside and went to get ready for work, he got his clothes ready to take a shower, but before he could get in his phone rang.

He looked at the caller ID and saw it was shisui, why was he calling him?, What could he possibly want from him?

So many questions went through his head, he debated on if he should answer it or not. He decided not to ignore him, and let his phone ring.

He jumped in the shower letting the warm water shooth his tense muscles, after four times of him not answering shisui gave up.

Itachi got out the shower and got dress, he went to make a cup of coffee to start his day, he looked at his phone and saw someone left a voicemail.

He saw it was shisui he debated should he listen to it, surly shisui won't know and so he did.

Hey itachi it's me shisui, I just wanted to check up on you and see if your doing ok after yesterday. Also I wanted to see if you had time today go and get our sizes and everything for our tux. Hope you get this I got to go, I'll see you later then bye.

Just by hearing his voice makes his heart beat, but he knew he could never have him. He clenched his hands into fist, but decided to go to work.

He worked at akatsuki Inc., A company that rather big and the Eco are three of his best friends, he had some friends that worked there.

He got to work and saw the occasion woman try to flirt with him, he went into his office and got straight to work. He didn't feel like seeing anyone today and hoped it stayed like that, he heard a knock on his door and sighed.

" Come in "

One of his fellow co-workers came in, no other then Kisame this guy have tried to b-friend him for the longest. And no matter how much itachi says it, the two are friends.

" Hey itachi You look moody today "

" Hello to you too Kisame, can you please leave I'm trying to work here "

" I just came by to say hi, don't have to be so rude "

" Unlike you I like to keep to my deadline "

" Why are you so moody today "

" It's none of your concern "  

His phone starts to ring and he sees it's shisui, he clicks the ignore button and puts it down.

" aww come on I'm your best friend "

" Your not my best friend "

" Aww yes you are, come on tell me "

" No "

Itachi phone kept ringing and it was shisui, he didn't want to talk or see him at all. He turned off his phone and was trying to do his paperwork.

" Kisame can you please leave, I'm trying to work here "

Itachi's work phone on his desk beeped as in telling him his secretary trying to reach him, he puts it on speaker phone.

" Yes? "

" Uh a man by the name shisui uchiha is trying to reach you "

" Tell him I'm not here, and if he calls again tell him I'm not excepting calls for the moment "

" Yes sir "

" Wow I thought that was your cousin, you never ignore him "

" It doesn't matter, now can you leave "

" Alright I'm leaving, talk to you later "

He left and itachi continued on with his day, he turned on his phone at lunch. He answered his mom telling him he's alright, he answered everyone but shisui.

By the time he was getting out of work it was nine, and he was beyond tired and was walking out of the building only to see shisui leaned against the wall with his arms crossed and when he saw him he smiled.

" hey I'm glad your ok, I was worried there for a minute "

" sorry i was just busy today, now I have to get home to finish up the rest of my work, now excuse me "

He was walking away when he felt someone grab his left shoulder, he turned around to see shisui looking at him.

" alright anyways you free tomorrow, we need to get our tux's "

" Sorry shisui I can't in fact I'm really busy, it's best you ask someone else to be your best man "

" What! No way it has to be you, I won't except anyone else "

" Sorry shisui I just can't I'm really busy '

" But itachi "

" Sorry I have to go "

He turned to leave but left shisui grab his wrist, he turned around and saw him looking at him worried.

" Hey you ok? "

" Yeah I'm fine I just want to get started on this project "

" That's you itachi wanting to get started on work already, you have to take it easy or else your going to end up in the hospital "

" Yeah I'll talk to you tomorrow shisui, I have to go "

" Alright take it easy itachi "

He ruffles his hair and laughs, itachi feels the butterflies in his stomach tingle and blush lightly, he playfully smack his hand away.

" Hey quite it "

" Alright, anyways got to go before eko worries about me "

" Yeah see you tomorrow "

They go there separate ways and itachi now stood in his apartment, he was on his bed his hand clenching at his shirt.

His chest hurt it hurts, it was the worse feeling he ever felt, it felt like a million knives are stabbing him and his chest felt hot, like fire hot.

It took an hour for the pain to go away, when it finally did itachi was left on his bed covered in sweat breathing heavily.

Was this really how he wanted to live?, was he willing to go through all this pain for someone?

Yes he willing to die for the one to die, he's willing to go through this pain and won't regret anything but telling shisui how he really feels.

is this how you want to live out your life? Avoiding conflict, not wanting to upset anyone else, even if it means you're unhappy?
