no picture i'm lazy
every since you forgave rantaro, life felt a lot better. things seemed to carry on, much better, especially yours and the green hairs relationship, you could even call him, your best friend? it felt, almost wrong to call rantaro your best friend, as you had no recollection of who you once were. in the killing game, tsumugi had made you the reoccurring lucky student, having your situation similar to the character makoto naegi. you had no clue of who you were, who you had associated with, all you knew was the backstory tsumugi wrote for you like you were a fictional character and she was the creator.
your story was fairly tame, but it went as followed.
you were called down one morning by your father. it was summer vacation and you were following your trend of sleeping till god knows how late, and staying up until your eyes burned from tiredness.
you rushed down the stairs, almost falling from getting up so quickly.
"come on (y/n)!" your father yelled again. you groaned an "i'm coming i'm coming" in your sleepy state.your dad handed the letter to you as soon as you were in reach. you glanced it over at first not noticing anything special in your glossing over, until noticing the hopes peak emblem at the bottom.
"dad...what's my talent?" that's what had confused you. you were the normal high school student. woke up at 5:30, went to school at 7, came home at 2:30. you maybe hung out with friends after school to get a coffee and complain of the test you had in third period, or sometimes joined a friend at a club so they wouldn't feel so alone. you weren't exceptional at anything.
"luck.""so i got into the prestigious school for being....lucky?"
"oh come on (y/n) it's not to bad! you're getting set up for success. your practically being handed a rich life! you can do what i never was able to do." you sighed, you understood why your dad was so excited. he always wanted the best for you, and you appreciated that, you really did. but you didn't want to leave him.
"are you sure? i don't want to leave you!"
"i'm okay on my own! you need to learn i can handle myself better than you think!"
"i understand it's just, are you sure?"
"(y/n)! this isn't just some letter saying you got a job at a fast food place, you got a spot at hopes peak!" you sighed, there was no way to change his mind.
"fine. but i will call you nightly."
"come on dear that's a lot!"
"and i will make sure you're taking care of yourself."
"whose the parent here (y/n)."
"fine."you two agreed to call once a week. you kissed your dad goodbye the next week before leaving, you cried more than he did.

your eyes welled with tears as you remembered your "past". the more and more you thought about it the more you realized how much it was fake. you never remembered the face of your father, it was all poor side angles that seemed to be a generic face.
did you even have a family? what is your actual family thinking now? did they send you off without your consent to be on this show for their entertainment. what if your family was caring, and you left with no faith in humanity, leaving nothing behind. not speaking a word to them as you snuck out the window one day at three am to audition.
your breath started to speed up as all these scenarios filled your head. did you betray them? did they betray you? was it mutual? who am i? what was i? these were all your brain could process and cared to listen to.
"(y/n)." a stern males voice said from the door of your room. the voice was enough to wake you from your panicked state, you looked up at him with a smile.
"thank you." you said, tears starting to slowly drip down your face. rantaro was obviously worried by your sudden realization of him and your sudden tears.
"(y/n) what, happened?" he asked
you shook your head
"nothing rantaro, i'm fine."
he looked at you warily, knowing not to press on. if you wanted to talk you would.xxx
