2 years later...

You and Flug were apparently still on your 'break'. The two of you were scared to talk to each other after what happened. And when you both did, it was awkward. You weren't worried about it anymore. You quickly learned to take care of yourself and began to make good money. Were you happy? Not really. But are you successful? Yes.

It was a nice day in May, and you were still working in the parts and services shop. The store wasn't too busy, which was good for you.

You scrolled through your phone as the soft, catchy music played in the store. You suddenly heard a ring at the door, but not paying any mind to it. The other employees that walked around to help customers were talking to the person anyways. You eventually glanced up anyways.

Oh god, that can't be...

You panicked, seeing that your friend wasn't around to cover for you while you wanted to hide in the bathroom. You saw a man, wearing a paper bag over his head with goggles. You've never seen anyone besides Flug who would do that in public. Your heart beat fast, and your palms began to become sweaty. Your co-worker didn't need to help anyone, so he left to go to the break room, leaving just you and Flug in the store now. You kept looking at Flug.

Do I still love him? I thought I was done with him but...

You wanted to bang your head on the cash register like Squidward. You've never felt this nervous before. Your eyes widened as he suddenly turned around, looking at you. His eyes widened through his goggles. You were the last person he expected to see here. He slowly walked up to the counter.

"Y/N? You work here?" He asked.

"Well, yeah." You said, laughing awkwardly.

"It's been so long, gosh. Well, h-how are you?"

You shrugged.

"Alright, I guess." You said.

"We need to hang out, and catch up on things."

"Definitely. How's that villain school going?" You asked.

"I just graduated and got my degree a couple months ago, actually!" He said. Right, you forgot. That school only lasts 2 years instead of 4 like other schools. Maybe this could be your chance at another shot with him.

I better not get my hopes up yet, though.

"I'm free on weekends, maybe we can hang out then." He said. You smiled.

"That'd be great."

"Well I better get going, I gotta get back to my job." He said.

"Oh, okay."

"Well I'll see you Saturday maybe?"

"Saturday it is."

"Okay, sounds good. Bye!"

"Bye."

You stood there dumbfounded. You just talked to Flug in person for the first time in almost two years. And you were going on a date with him?!
