I skip around on a bunch of clouds, holding hands with Billy Batson. This was not the same dream I was having before and it was just a silly little one you'd have as an eight-year-old. I was simply waiting for Billy to say, "Come on! Let's go see the fairies!" but the dream snapped out as I woke up.
I feel an arm around my waist before looking to my left and seeing the real Billy Batson laying there, holding me tightly. I sigh before climbing out of bed and heading for the living room. I open my door and look around, seeing Freddy in the kitchen working on homework first. I walk over to him and I feel my hand shaking a bit.
"F-Freddy?" I stutter out. He stands up and hobbles over to me.
"Hey, are you alright?" He asks. I decide to lie and tell him I was.
"Yeah, I'm okay... Could you make me breakfast?" I ask. He nods his head. I smile at him before beginning to walk off again.
"Wait, what's going on? You're acting strange," he states. He grabs my hand and pulls me to face him.
"Freddy..." I sigh. "I'm fine. Can you make me bacon? Eggs? Sunnyside up eggs?! OOH! MAKE THEM DIPPY SO I CAN DIP TOAST IN THEM! MAKE ME TOAST!" I started getting excited for breakfast as I listed everything I knew he could make me. He laughs at my excitement.
"I mean... I guess. Only if you tell me what's bugging you though," he says. His happy smile bending into a worried frown. "So... What's wrong?" He asks.
"I'm just... Nervous," I admit. I was extremely nervous. I was too nervous about going back there again. After what the dream Freddy had said about me getting hurt I had gotten scared. I look up at him.
"Nervous? What're you nervous about?" he asks. He actually seemed confused.
"What isn't there to be nervous about?" I ask. "Last night when I went into my dream world, Freddy said that I had to leave before making me leave. He said he didn't want me to get hurt. I don't know what that meant but Billy was on his way back. I think Billy is taking my death into his own hands now... That means I don't have a choice whether I stay there or not anymore. HE makes the choices now."
I could visibly see Freddy swallow, the lump in his throat vanishing at his collarbone. "S-So if he has control over you... What do you do?" Freddy asks. I shrug. "Do you just... Never go into the dream world again?" He pulls the carton of eggs from the fridge and places them on the counter. "How many eggs by the way?"
"Two. Also, I don't think I can just avoid the dream world. I have to sleep no matter what." I look at him, praying he'll know what to do. I get nothing from him. He just pops two pieces of bread in the toaster before I continue.
"Hey, well... if it helps. It's normal to be afraid of something. Nightmares and what not." He walks over to me and hugs me before whispering in my ear, "it'll all be okay, I promise."
I sigh and say, "I understand. Can I use the shower?" He looked at me like I was an idiot.
"Why on hells land are you asking?" he asks me. I shrug at his question and he just laughs. He pushes me towards the stairs before collecting the bacon I had asked for from the fridge. I walk up to the shower and start it.
I stare at the mirror, remembering when I first met the dream Billy and how sweet I thought he was. I look around the room for a moment before thinking about the real Billy and me if we were to live in that dream world. There wouldn't be any near-death experiences if the real Billy were there with me.
I turn to the shower, remove my clothing and pull the door open. I walk into the shower and close it. I feel the hot water pelt my back, a smile coming over my face. I start thinking of alternate endings to all of this. "What if the Dream Billy comes into our world somehow?" "What if I end up dead?" "What if one of my friends end up dead?"
I grab my shampoo and smile as I pour it into my hand. I lather up my hair with it while thinking of the beauty that could come from this dream Billy being gone. I sigh as the hot water spills down my back, dripping into my eyes and mouth as I smile. I hear a far louder fall of water as it starts to pelt heavier onto my head. I open my eyes to see I am behind a large pouring stream of water. I push myself through it hesitantly before seeing a giant lake. I look behind me again and see my shower had turned into a waterfall.
"B-Billy?" I ask. I see him sitting cross-legged in the water. He smiles up at me. "Why am I here? I was just showering!" I yell. I was officially fed up with him constantly bringing me in here whenever the fuck he wanted. This dream world was terrifying to me.
"I love you," dream Billy says, as he stares into my eyes longingly. He stands up and walks over to me. "Do you love me?"
I started thinking I could do what I had originally done to the real Billy. Trick him into getting on my good side. I cup his face and whisper, "Of course I do."
He smiles and wraps his arms around my waist before kissing me. I kiss back, holding the back of his head tightly. He pushes me back, towards the waterfall behind me. I moan into the kiss a little bit as he pushes me through it and the next thing I know, I'm back in the shower.
I stare at the tiles in front of me and tear up before hearing Darla from outside the door. "I THINK FREDDY FOUND SOMETHING ON YOUR SITUATION Y/N!!" I hear.
"I'll be out in a minute!" I call back. I was hoping whatever Freddy had to say would stop all of this.
