INTERVIEW WITH HARMONY_OWL

Hello ! Thank you for stopping by !

Hello!

So tell us a little about yourself:

My name is Eva. I'm 14 years old, I live in Christchurch New Zealand. I have a younger brother and sister, my favourite colour is purple. BOOKS AND CHOCOLATE ARE MY LIFE!!!! ;)

Who doesn't love chocolate? Thanks for sharing! Let's get started with the questions :

1 – When and how did you fall in love with writing ?

I fell in love with writing from a very young age, ever since my first years at school when we had 'writing time'. It kind of evolved through the years, if I'm listening to music, watching tv etc, I think of scenarios and different ideas. I then decided I wanted to put my ideas on 'paper', metaphorically speaking, and share it with people.

 2 – What's your favorite work to date ?

My favourite work to date is 'Where There's Life There's Hope'.

3 - An inspirational title! What's it about ?

Its about a young girl, who's half elf and half dwarf. She joins the company of Thorin Oakenshield, and it's sort of a journey about her discovering herself and finding a place of acceptance. (I don't want to give too much away).

4 – Of course not, no spoilers ;-). Why do you like it better than your other works, if you have written other stories ?

I like it better because it was my first story, and I had planned it very thoroughly. I have also planned the next three sequels and a spin off! Because I can see how the story is going to go, I think it will turn out good

5 – What inspired you to write "Where there's Life there's Hope"?

I'm not sure what you mean by this question but if you are talking about the story idea, I got that idea from watching the film the hobbit, and the tinkerbell film funnily enough! If you're talking about the title, I was looking up quotes on the Internet and I thought that one fit!

6 – Is it original or a fanfiction?

Its a fan fiction

7 – Which character d'you love most? Why?

I love Lainathiel the most because I loosely based her on myself, with the sarcasm and her sense of humour. But also because she's everything I strive to be, brave, strong etc.

8 – Which character did you like writing least? Why?

I actually found it hard to write Fili, Kili and Thorin. Because I wanted the cute factor in some scenes with Fili, Kili and Lainathiel, which I'm not really good at. Also with Thorin he's a little cold with her at the beginning, but I didn't want him to be too cold, or too out of character. (Sorry that's three).

9 – No problem :-D. Are any of your characters inspired by real people around you?

As I said earlier Lainathiel is based slightly on me. But my other characters I based on othet characters if that makes sense! Aya is based off Lady Galadrial and I got the idea of her from the tinker bell movie. The other character which is coming, is based off Maleficent.

10 – If there was one thing and one person you could bring to life from your book, who and which would it be?

Again I would probably want to bring Lainathiel alive, as I think we would get along quite well. The one thing I would bring to life would probably be her 'diary' as I would love to read about her journey and look at her drawings.

Certainly sounds interesting! Thanks for your time!

Thanks! If you have any questions about characters and plots from my book just ask! :) xx
