Chapter 1

This is my first work i ever published, I've been writing all my life but i never have published them to public. So this is my first and there will be many short comings in this work, but i hope you'll bare with me dear reader. The story is still in progress and i will be updating depending on readers feedback. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as i did writing it. My English may not be good but i hope my writing delivers the imaginations they intent to deliver to the reader. Please feel free for comments, suggestions etc. This is a korrasami fanfiction and it takes place after the end of third season, i have started writing it when the third season ended.

Love Burns Brighter...

The storm outside Republic City seemed stronger than ever. Once again the world was safe and devoid of all evil. The young Avatar sat in the far corner of the café, she is deep in her thoughts whilst sipping on her hot chocolate staring into the cold gloomy night. She was wearing a white t-shirt, a pair of jeans, and a furry dark-gray coat to keep her warm. Clasping her hands around the cup, she smiled at her own faint reflection in the glass. The storm rages on outside endlessly with lightning and thunder. She felt as if she was being neglected by everything and everyone she knows.

"The world has more advanced technologies and no enemies to fight, it is not in need of an Avatar anymore" were here thoughts.

She took another sip of the warm chocolate thinking of what Mako might be doing right now. She hasn't seen him for weeks; he's busy with life, work, and also with a new girl-friend. He doesn't even call her anymore at least to see how she's doing.

Bolin had gone back to work on more movers while Tenzin and his family are busy training the new air benders. Life has become rather dull and mundane for the young Avatar. She thought of going back to live with her parents again in the Southern Water Tribe.

"That is my home after all and i will definitely feel better there in the place where i grew up, and maybe i can learn a few more water bending from Katara too. I think I should do that, and not waste my time locked up in an apartment. Everyone's living a happy and perfect life, It's time I do something for myself" Korra thought while starring at her own reflection and she felt a sense of relief.

"I guess I'm not that needed to the world anymore... same goes for my friends," she said to herself followed by a faint smile while looking at her cup.

"And who may have told you that?" A smooth familiar voice raised from the background, coupled with the friendly squeeze on her left shoulder. She startled and quickly turned and saw Asami standing behind with her wavy hair down as usual, wearing a thick dark red jacket over a white un-tucked shirt blouse, leather jeans with tight buckled boots up to the calf.

"Beautiful evening isn't it?" Asami asked in irony with her striking smile.

Korra smiled back.

"Asami, I am so glad to see you," she said with a jovial tune in her voice.

"Where in the world have you been Korra? I've been looking all over the Republic City until I met Bolin. He said he hasn't seen you in ages. I thought I'd be able to find you in the gym during the evenings, and when I checked on the gym, the guy there said you weren't around there for weeks. So the last place I thought I'd look for you was in here..." she said while taking a seat beside Korra.
