Cotton candy, sweet
Across the sky, a treat
And far across the endless sky,
Hues and tints of colors lie.
A lush, green carpet for my feet
The birds have stopped their tweets
The sunset sky, so deep and wide
Houses millions of trees.
From beyond my window shade
I watch in awe, I'm so amazed
How beautiful, serene, it's all
It makes the teardrops start to fall
It's a present for us all
"Good job, even though you did fall,
Thanks for toughing through it all
To see this day, too, rise and fall."
Painted streaks of hope
Across the sky, a "NOPE!"
To all the sadness that tried to hold me
To all the pains that tried to choke me.
So I will never lose my way
Not today, or the next day
Because, although there is the pain.
I refuse to fade away.
