days went by, those days turned into weeks and not once has kairi tried to apologize again, instead he gave katarina the space he knew she so desperately needed. katarina needed to use that time to think, or forget. she didn't want to let him back in after the weeks he spent lying to her but at the same time she felt he deserved some kind of a second chance. either way, she can't ignore the fact that he straight out confessed to her, that was brave of him.
she groaned as she walked into class and threw her textbooks on her desk, "did you guys finish the math homework?" she asked, looking back to her three friends, avani, troy, and dixie who conveniently sat right behind her desk.
"yeah that stuff was really hard," dixie sighed out.
"i know! i was up until midnight doing it!"
"same, you could've just called me, then we could've done it together," avani smiled.
troy was soon brought back to reality, "wait," he paused, "what homework?"
"are you kidding us?" the girls said in unison. troy nodded no.
avani threw her math notebook onto the desk and slid it to troy, "copy it."
"thank you vani," he smiled at her causing avani to smile back.
"just get together already," katarina rolled her eyes.
"i'm-  what! she's a rat, i'm a prince," troy exclaimed before redirecting his attention to avani's notebook.
"oh really?" avani scoffed, "well i'd rather kiss katarina than date you!"
"okay, do it," troy encouraged causing katarina to quickly sink into her seat.
avani's eyes drifted to katarina's, "no. i don't wanna kiss you."
"homophobe-"
katarina hit troy's head, "i just don't wanna kiss my best friend!"
"would you kiss me?" he asked.
"no, you stink like coochie," she teased.
"what about josh? would you kiss him?" avani asked leaning closer to katarina.
the girl hesitated, "i-i'm-  no! never!"
troy gave avani a look, "i think somebody has a crush- oW!" he was cut off by katarina hitting him hard on the side of the head.
"i hate you," she groaned while leaning back in her chair.
"i think you're right troy-" avani started before katarina slightly raised her hand, "NO I'M SORRY! I LOVE YOU BESTIE!" she screamed while pulling katarina's head into a hug.
"let go of me you non barb," katarina said while pushing away from avani.
"wHATS WRONG WITH NOT LIKING NICKI MINAJ?!"
"THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU IF YOU SERIOUSLY DONT—" katarina began to rant.
"don't start this again," troy scolded katarina.
"shut up," katarina mumbled.
"morning class!" mr. cha announced as he walked into the classroom, shutting the door after himself.
"he be looking fine today," dixie leaned forward.
"don't say that!" avani mumbled.
"i have freedom of speech, i can say whatever i want to say!" dixie stated.
"but that doesn't mean hit on the teacher," katarina interjected.
suddenly the door opened again revealing a tired looking kairi.
the group fell silent.
