Chapter Seven

For Artemistigress. Enjoy!

Artemis ran down the halls. Then she found Batman. "How about you let us do what we came to do?" She asked.

"How about no?" He threw a punch at her face, which she barely managed to dodge.

She turned to look at the two Shadow ninjas that she had brought along. "Are you just going to stand there, or..."

The ninjas quickly joined the fight and were knocked out. Artemis tried to pass Bats but he turned her around pulling her against him.

She whispered the plan to him and then kicked him where the sun doesn't shine. She quickly turned out of his grasp.

They fought for about five minutes before she knocked him out, knowing that he'd wake up in like a minute. She raced down the halls, not knowing exactly what to do now. She ended up fighting off security guards, who eventually outnumbered her and dragged her back to her cell, throwing her in. Several of the women stayed behind, five guarding the cell, two more strip searching Artemis for weapons and cell keys. She was finally given one of her orange jumpsuits to put on. She glared at the guards as they walked away.

A minute later, once she was sure that they were gone, she stuck her hand out to Shang. The woman handed the blonde a key that she had discreetly slipped her. Artemis unlocked the cell door, easily taking out the two guards in charge of watching the cell. She walked out, gesturing for her cellmates to follow.

"You guys spread out. Try to not get killed ok? In other words, don't cause enough trouble to get a guard to pull a gun on you."

The three nodded and took off. Artemis' comm, which was in disguise as a hearing aid, had been left on her. After all, what kind of jerk would take away someone's hearing aid?

The device buzzed and she answered it. "The stupid League took over the control room!" Her dad yelled. "We have two minutes to get out! Move, move, move!"

Artemis took off for the exit, where she got cornered by Superman and Wonder Woman. Within five minutes, Artemis was back in her cell. Only one of her cellmates, Lee, has gotten caught. The other two had escaped, as well as Jade. Presumably her father, too, as he hadn't been found. Oh, well. At least the breakout had been stopped.
