I woke up to a lorry outside my house and shouting. I picked up my iPhone. It was only 9:37am. What are they doing out there? I heaved my self out of bed and opened the curtains to reveal a huge lorry with the contents of someone's house inside. I'd totally forgot! We were getting new neighbours across the road. I closed my curtains and flopped back onto my warm bed. I was wide awake now so - like any typical teenage girl - I scrolled through my social media for about an hour.
You may be wondering who I am now. I'm Maddie and I'm 17. I live just outside of London away from the busy city but it's about a 5 minute drive and a 10 minute walk. I live on my own, I was living with my friend, Ashley, but her parents wanted her to go to live in America for a while as her grandparents got very sick recently and they only have around a year to live. My parents live in London so I could walk to their house and I could move back home if I wanted but I like living here. It makes me feel independent and I don't even have to worry about rent or a mortgage because my dad bought this house for me and is paying for it.
I got my self out of bed after rolling around on my bed for a while. I made myself some breakfast before I washed my face and cleaned my teeth. I sat in my room not really knowing what to do. I checked the time on my phone. 12:45. I looked outside and saw the lorry had gone so I decided to go and meet my new neighbours. I changed into some leggings, a plain white cropped top, a leather jacket and my white converse leaving my hair natural (which is brown and wavy) grabbing my phone as a left the house. I crossed the road to the new neighbours house. As I was about to knock I heard some noise.
"No! The drum kit can't go there! It has to go over there!" Someone said."Why does it have to go there!" Another replied.
I was instantly regretting coming over as I knocked on the door. The door opened to reveal a guy around 6ft with blond hair.
"Hey," he said smiling.
"Hi - um - I'm Maddie. I live over there," I said gesturing towards my house, "and I just wanted to come over and say hi and introduce myself. So - um - hi,"
"Hi Maddie, I'm Tristan but you can call me Tris," he replied smiling.
"Hi Tris," I said.
"Who's at the door?" Someone said running towards the door. He was around 5ft 5 and had brown hair with blonde in the front.
"This is Maddie, she lives across the road," Tris said introducing me.
"Hey, I'm Connor!" He said cheerfully.
"Hey Connor!" I said smiling.
"Look - I hate to be rude bu-" Tris started but he was cut off by someone shouting from inside the house.
"Tris, Connor!! Hurry up!"
"COMING!!!" Tris shouted.
"Sorry, Maddie, but we have band practice," he said apologetically.
"No, no, don't let me keep you guys! I'll see you around," I said turning back towards my house.

My room was horrendously messy!! I decided to clean it considering the state of it. I turned on some music, picked things up and put things away while dancing, jumping and singing. This was the only way I could clean my room and concentrate!
I sang "Counting Stars" by One Republic while dancing around my room. As I was singing and dancing away I heard the faint sound of laughter outside my window. I turned around I looked out of my window and was mortified. Tris, Connor and two other boys were outside of their house watching me dance in my room."Oh my god!" I said to myself going beetroot red and lying on my floor so they'd hopefully think it wasn't me which was a bit of a stupid idea.
"Hey, Maddie!" I heard Tris shout from outside. Oh - so they had noticed. I slowly crept up and all four boys waved. I opened my window.
