My eyes fluttered open and found my self in an unfamiliar place. I sat up and had no clue where I was. I got out of the bed still wearing the hoodie Tris had gave me and shorts from yesterday. I opened the door slowly so no one would hear. I heard mumbling coming from downstairs. I tiptoed along the landing to the top of the stairs.
"Morning lads," James said, "Is Maddie up yet?"
"Nah, she's still asleep," Tris said.
"She's a sweet girl," James said.
"She is - she's always so happy and smiley!" Connor said.
I walked down the stairs and they all suddenly stopped talking when they heard my footsteps.
"So - um - I think I'm gonna go on a, um, run later or something," Tris piped up visibly saying the first thing that came to mind."Oh, is it okay if I join you?" I said pretending that I hadn't heard what they were saying earlier. All four boys stopped and looked at me.
"Um, well, I-I don't see why not," Tris stammered.
"It's fine!! You don't have to actually do any exercise, I heard you all," I laughed.
"You did?" James said looking at my in shock.
"Yes," I said as I walked past them to the sofa.
"Oh," Tris said as all the boys went a light shade of pink.
"Bless you," I said smirking, "If it makes you guys feel any better, you guys are sweet too,". After I said that the boys relaxed a little bit.
"So did you sleep alright?" Brad said.
"Yeah although I woke up this morning with no idea as to where I was or how I got there," I laughed.
"Well after we left the McDonalds drive-through we headed home but you were really quiet and about half way home, you fell asleep on Brad's shoulder," Tris started.
"So then when we got back to ours we were gonna carry you across to your house but we didn't want to go through your things to find you keys. It was just easier to bring you to ours," Connor said.
"So Brad carried you in and put you in his bed. We stayed up for a few hours incase you came back down and we left your McDonalds out incase you got up and were hungry," James said.
"But you never came back down so we just went to bed," Brad said smiling.
"Hold on," I said confused, "if I was in Brad's bed, where did you sleep?"
"Next to you," Brad said smirking. My face instantly started to blush. I turned slightly and let my hair fall over my face to try and hide the pink/red colouring.
"I'm kidding!!" Brad laughed, "I slept on the sofa!"
"Brad!! You didn't have to sleep on the sofa!! I would of been fine on the sofa!!"
"It's fine," he said, "You were a guest. You may as well have been comfortable,"
"Thanks," I said smiling.
"Well - I better get back. I've got some stuff I need to do around the house," I said.
"You not staying?" Connor said.
"It's fine - I'll let you guys get on with whatever you do," I smiled.
"If you insist - but you're welcome when ever you want," James said.
"Thanks, guys! I really appreciate this," I said. I picked up my things and headed for the doors when I remember something.
"Tris, your hoodie," I said.
"Keep it, you'll look weird walking across the street in a bikini," he laughed.
"Oh I forgot about that!" I said awkwardly, "I'll bring it back later,"
"Did you listen anything I just said?" Tris said. I looked at him confused.
"Keep. It," he said.
"Alright! Don't get your knickers in a twist!!" I laughed, "Thanks, guys! See you later!!!"
"Bye!!" All four boys called as I left the house.
I ran across the road to my house. I got in and had a shower and washed my hair to get all the salt water out of it. I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do today. I got changed into a vest and some shorts. I really wanted to speak to Ashley and catch up and tell her about my new neighbours. She'd be so jealous. I checked the time and it was 11:30am. That would mean it would only be 6:30am in America. Ashley wouldn't be up until at least 8:30!! I decided that I'd clean the house up. I haven't had much time to sort it out recently.
I cleaned the house up a bit by just hoovering, washing and such things hoping that it would stay clean for a while being just me living here. I checked the time and it was 1:30pm. Would Ash be up at half eight in the morning? I ran upstairs and went onto Skype and rang her. It only took few rings before she accepted.
"Aahhh!! Maddie!!! Oh my god, it's been so long since we last spoke!! How are you?!" Ashley said with a smile beaming on her face. She still had her pyjamas on so she probably hasn't been up long.
"I know!! I'm missing you so much, Ashley!! I'm fine!! How are you?" I asked.
"I'm fine! Are you still living in the house!? I really would have expected you to go back to your parents for while until I got back?" She said.
"That's actually why I've called!" I said smiling.
"What....have you...replaced me?" Ashley whispered.
"Oh my god!! No, Ash!! It's something good!"
"What is it then?" Ashley said sounding a little confused.
"Go on Google Images on your phone and type in 'The Vamps'," I said excited to see her reaction.
"What does that have to do with the house?" Ashley questioned.
"I'll answer the questions later!!" I said.
"Okay! But if this is something dodgy -"
"Ash, shut up and just search it!" I laughed.
"I am!," she laughed back."Is it them?" She asked after tapping away at her phone. She held up her phone to the screen and sure enough, Brad, Tris, Connor and James appeared.
"Yep, that's them," I said smiling.
"Well what about them....besides how cute they are,"
"And besides them living opposite our house," I smiled.
"You. Are. Joking!" She said.
"Unfortunately for you, no! They live in the house opposite which Mike and Michelle used to live in!! They moved in two days ago and I've spent all my time with them since they got here!" I began to explain all the details like how we met and what we've done the past few days.
"You really aren't kidding are you?" Ashley said.
"Of course, I'm not!" I laughed.
"I can tell. You look so happy and excited about it all," she said smiling.
I blushed and said, "I really miss you, Ash."
"I miss you too, Maddie," Ashley said.
We both sounded like we were going to cry. We've been best friends forever and we'd always wanted to live together. Then we did but it was cut short when Ashley's grandparents got ill. She's really close to her grandparents so it upset her. Now we only speak when we have the chance. It's a bit difficult with the time difference but we try and make it work.
"I'll let you go," I said, "I know it's early over there,"
"I'll let you get back to your boys," she laughed.
"Before you go, promise me you'll come back and meet the boys," I almost whispered.
"I promise," she smiled.
"Bye, Ash,"
"Bye, Maddie,"
