Just something special I decided to write ;)
Inspired by this song by Keane
Kinn brushed and tidied her cropped, periwinkle blue hair, a gleeful smile on her face. It was her turn to ask Cyan to go for another date and she was ecstatic as usual.
Red tinted her soft, perfect light blue face as she thought of him. The happy moments they've shared, their lovely conversations, all that was making her smile. Last week Cyan had asked her out on a nice dinner together. This time Kinn wanted to bring him to a beautiful garden waterfall nearby Paradise's tallest mountain and take a walk there.
Once her hair and clothes were tidied up, she picked up her bag, which was sitting on her bed, and walked outside the house. She checked her phone as she walked, and was slightly surprised to see that Cyan hadn't answered any of her texts. Maybe he just wanted to surprise me like two weeks ago, she thought cheerfully and optimistically. If he was, then she's ready this time.
Whenever the two wanted to go somewhere, they would always meet up at a small bus stop not too far away from both of their homes, right in the middle. So Kinn walked over to the bus stop, sat down, and waited patiently. As five minutes passed, she got bored and pulled out her phone again to text Cyan.
Kinn: I'm at the stop. Hurry up, would ya?
Another five minutes. Ten minutes. Fifteen minutes. Thirty minutes.
No answer. Kinn was beginning to feel a bit anxious. Cyan was never late.
Where was he?
Worry welled up in her gut. She immediately went to her friends' group chat and tried to ask them.
Kinn: Guys, have you seen Cyan?
Verdan: No, I thought he was going out with you? :)
Lili: ^
Blixer: Eyy you guys datin again?
Kinn: I'm serious, he's not answering any of my texts. Nor any of my calls from this morning
Ferris: He was online in a couple of games very early this morning but I haven't seen him today, soz
Ferris: He's probably tryna surprise ya gurl
Kinn: He's never late
Ferris: True
Blixer: I'm not at home, had to go and get my fixed guitar back from the store and the shopkeeper's an asshole so I haven't seen that midget since this morning, so not even I know where Cyan is, sorry Kinn
Kinn sighed and slipped her phone back into her pocket. It was worth a try. Guess she'll have to visit his apartment.
If this was a prank she would kill the guy.
It was eleven now thanks to this problem. She was planning to go at half past ten to take a walk around the gardens surrounding the waterfall and go out just in time for lunch, but now it seems like Cyan was ruining her plan. They'd be late and Kinn had work to do after lunch. Just great.
She speed-walked her way through the apartment Cyan lived in. She took the elevator and climbed up to the seventh floor, reached Cyan's apartment door and knocked, politely at first. When she didn't get an answer for ten seconds, she tried again, harder this time. No response. Frustrated, she rapped her cold knuckles on the polished wood much harder. "Cyan!" she half-yelled, trying not to disturb Cyan's neighbours with her loud voice. "Come on, you're late!" She placed her hand on the knob and pushed it, not expecting anything to happen.
