I blink at him. Silent. Surely he was talking to someone else. Maybe he was sick? Hurt? I should probably show him the way to the 'popular table'.

"What?" I blurt out a little to loud.

He chuckles as everyone looks at me. I blush.

"Why are you all by yourself?" he asks me.

"Because I'm a loser." I mumble so quietly I know he can't hear me. I put my head down.

"Now I don't think a pretty girl like you should be called a 'loser'." he says.

I blush and look up from my meal. Wondering how in the world he managed to hear that. Especially with all the talking going on.

"Thanks. Now if you could just tell the rest of the school I'd be set!" I say.

"I could do that." he says winking at me.

I giggle.

Wait, I giggled? Laughed? Chuckled?! This is the first time in three years. I grin so big my cheeks hurt.

"You have no idea, but you pretty much just made up for three years of my life." I say still smiling.

He smiles.

"Oh, and I'm Hunter."

"So you have Science next?" I ask.

We were at his locker. He was looking for his schedule.

I had a great time at lunch. We had talked about anything. From movies to possibly tonight's homework to even the new IPhone coming out.

"I'm pretty sure, I just need to ge- got it!" he said pulling out the bent up piece of white paper.

As he scanned the papers, I finally got to get a good look at him.

He had short dark brown hair, mint green eyes, super tan, a Maroon 5 t-shirt, leather jacket, jeans, and converse.

Great, I thought, Summer will be all over him. My only friend, taken from my grasps.

I mean, let's face it. Summer has beautiful red hair,(that any girl would die for), a perfect complexion, the bluest eyes you'll ever see, and the most amazing legs. She should be on a magazine cover.

And then there's me: Dark Brown, waist length hair, freckles across my nose, green eyes, and I'm short.

The only good thing about me is that I'm pretty tan.

"Then Algebra, then History." Andrew finishes.

"What?" I say, startled from hearing his voice.

He laughs again.

"Come on, let's not be late for Science." he says putting his arm around me.

I blush.

As we walk down the hall, I get glares from all the other girls.

"So Andrew, you never told me where you transferred from." I say turning to him.

He turns a weird shade of white.

"Ah, well, that's a long story." he says blandly.

I snap my head back to in front of me.

"So you add them all together." Mrs. Hawfire says

We were in science class and Andrew and I were partners.

"For the record, I have no idea what any of this stuff is." Andrew whispers.

I hold back a giggle.

"Me either." I whisper.

We were in the back, so we didn't have to worry about Mrs. Hawfire.

He holds up a bottle filled with orange foamy stuff.

"Hydrogen Monoxide." he says with a laugh.

"What the heck is that?" I say laughing.

"I don't know." he says laughing too.

He looks at me, then says, "You have really pretty eyes."

I blush and look at him. "There not as pretty as yours." I say, looking into them.

What was I doing?! Flirting with Maple High's hottest guy?! You out of you mind. I tell myself.

"Thanks." he says.
