"Come Lucy, let me do your hair. Then you go and get your bag and Leo's nappy bag please." I said as I tyed Lucy's hair up into a high ponytail.

"Okay Kitty." Lucy said as she turn around to face me. Making me drape her hair over her shoulder. I let go of her hair and it falls past her stomach.

"What's wrong baby?" I ask as I see her sad face looking up at me.

"What if the other kids won't play with me? What if no one wants to be my friend?" She asked with tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Baby, listen to me, okay? You are the most friendliest little 7 year old I ever know. Okay? So don't worry about that. Someone special will go over to you and you two will be best friends forever." I said and wiped away her tears.

"Okay. Love you mommy kitty." Lucy said and wrapped her little arms around my neck and pulled me into a tight hug.

I smiled and let her skip up to her room to get her stuff ready. Her long ponytail swinging around behind her.

I really need to get her hair cut. It's so long that it takes one and a half hour to get it semi dry.

Shaking my head, I made my way to Leo's crib and picked him up to get him ready.

As I pulled the blanket over Leo's carrier, my phone started to ring.

"Lucy get my phone please." I shouted out to Lucy who's in the kitchen with my phone on the counter.

"It's Mikey. He wants to talk to you mommy." Lucy shouted back and came running into my room with my phone in her little hand.

"Thanks baby." I said and took my phone with one hand and Leo's carrier in the other giving Lucy a kiss on the cheek.

"Hello." I said into the phone making my way to the front door.

"Morning Officer Virus. How are you today?" Mike asked into the phone making me laugh.

"Oh, I'm just peachy Officer Chesterfield. How about you? Oh Lucy get the bags in the car please. I'm right here watching you, okay?" I spoke to Mike and then turned to Lucy to get her and Leo's bags in the car.

"Okay." She said and took the keys from me and to the trunk of my car.

"I'm very well thank you. So. I got a job for you." He said the first part in a playful tone then the last part in all seriousness.

"Okay. I'm just going to drop the kids off and then I'm gonna be in." I said and got an 'okay' then hung up.

I locked the house and made my way to my car and opened the back door to see Lucy already in her high chair and the seat belt on.

I smiled at her as I put Leo in his baby seat and the carrier in the trunk. Before making my way to the drivers side and got in.

"Here you go mommy." Lucy said and handed me the keys.

"Thank you sweetie. Nanna is going to pick you up. I have some work to do. And I am not sure when I'll get done with it. But I'll call gran so we can talk, okay baby?" I spoke as I started driving to Nanna's house.

"Okay. But Kitty, are you going to come home tonight?" Lucy asked with a hopeful look on her beautiful little face.

"I'll try pumpkin. But you know how Mikey can be. Always trying to keep me busy." I said which made us both laugh.

"Okay. Tell Mikey to get me ice cream for keeping you away from me." She said with a playful mean face and her little arms crossed over her little chest.

"Okay sweetie I will." I chuckled just as we pulled up outside Nanna's house.

Just as the car came to a stop in the driveway, the front door burst open and you could see grandma and grandpa running out towards our car.

As fast as I can, I got out of the car and stopped infront of them. Catching my grandmother before she could kiss the ground.

"Oh I Won! I WON! HEY LUCY, I WON!" Nanna shouted out and high-fived Lucy through the window.

"YEAH! GO GRANDMA!" Lucy shouted back and giggled as grandad glared teasingly at Nanna.

"Okay give me my pumpkin pie. So we can bake honey chocolate muffins." Nanna went and took Leo out as grandad went to get his nappie bag out the trunk.

"Okay bye guys. Oh don't forget to pick Lucy up from school today at 2. Okay?" I got 'yes' then said our goodbyes.

Me and Lucy went off and headed to her new school.

When we got there, there are kids running around and playing.

We got out and I took Lucy's hand in mine and walked to the office.

As we get near the doors of the office, a little boy ran past us into the the office looking panicked.

I shook my head and walked in. There I sow the little boy standing there as the older like lady sat there and spoke with a soft voice.

"Morning Ma'am. I was called in to sign something and to make sure my little sister is shown the right way?" I ask unsure.

"Ah yes. You must be Officer Virus, right? And this must be Lucy Anna Virus?" The old lady asked with a warm smile.

"Yes that's us. They called and told me to sign some forms?" I asked again.

"Ah yes, yes. But why don't the little ones go to class so long. My grandson Nick can show her to their classes. They are after all in everyone together. Which is funny. Anyway Nick please show Lucy to her class please." She spoke and Nick looked at me with scared eyes.

I guess I would two of I were in his shoes.

Why you may ask? Well I'm in my uniform. Cuffs, bage and gun in place. Covered by my jacket.

My uniform is not like others. Mine is specifically designed for me. Seen as I'm the only one who does this line of work.

My shirt is a black long sleeve button down shirt. My pants are a pair of dark blue boot leg jeans. And my shoes are biker boots with two butterfly knifes in each of them.

My belt , an army thick black leather belt which holds my gun, cuffs and bage.

I turn to Lucy, who is hidden behind my legs.

"Lucy, this is Nick. He's going to show you around. So come on out and say Hi." I spoke in a gentle voice.

She came out with a shy smile on her face.

"Hi." She squeaked out well playing with her riny hands.

Nick seemed to snap out of his shock and looked at Lucy with a bright smile on his face.

"Hi. I'm Nick. Let me show you around, then we can sit next to each other and play games." He explained all of this in one breath.

Lucy seeming happy that she has made a new friend gladly took his hand and ran off after him. Waving a goodbye to me.

I laughed at their cuteness and shook my head with a smile on my face.

"Okay let's get those forms signed, shall we my dear?" The old lady, as I can see on her name tag, Jenny spoke with a warm smile in place.

"Let's." I said with a chuckle of my own.
