The song I've stuck onto this chapter has nothing to do with the chapter, it's just a good song that you should listen to.
I wanted to talk about the junk that I have in my drafts.
So the first story is something that I'm working on right now. It's an original story (something that I almost never do). When I say this story is in its baby stage, I mean actual baby. It's really just an idea. I've only written out some character profiles and a prologue for it.
This is the cover that I've designed for it. It's probably one of my best covers. I actually put time into figuring out something that looks more complicated than slapping some text over a picture. I think I'll still edit it up a bit though before I finalize it,but I'm pretty happy with how it looks now.
This is something that I'll actually publish.
Next up is The Maurder's Secretary.
I think I might have published the first chapter or two before taking it down.
If I do end up putting more work into it it'll need a better title. I'm content with what it has now, but it could be better.
Another thing it'll need is a better cover. The cover it has now is literally just a picture. It doesn't even have the title on it. I could get away with it, but that doesn't mean that I want to. Even at the time I chose the cover I wasn't really happy with it.
It has three chapters that will need better development. There are already a few plotholes that I can see. All of the chapters hit 500 words, which considering how much I usually write is really good, but I would like to put more into it.
This is a story that I wrote a long time ago and ended up forgetting about, but it's something that I would like to bring back.
Moving on, we have Utter Blasphmeny || Charlie Weasley ||
This is another story that I published part of before taking it down. (Something you'll see that I do a lot of)
Instead of talking about what needs to be fixed, here's the description for this one:
I laughed like a crazed woman.
"Charlie! Did you see that!" I giggled. He laughed a bit too.
"Yeah, how did you do that?" He laughed. I shrugged. He stopped laughing and stared at my side. I felt an itch where he was looking. I reached to scratch it. My fingers collided with cool metal.
I looked down to see a dagger embedded under my ribcage.
I like the idea I had for it. I don't think that I'll bring it back though, mostly because it hits on the Bellatrix's daughter cliche. It's something that I've seen a lot of, as well as read a lot of, and I know that I would end up subconsciously taking ideas from other authors, which is something that I really don't want to do ever, even if it is accidentally.
Another reason I don't really want to bring it back is because I've written something similar to it in a story that I do plan to bring back at some point.
This other story conveniently happens to be the next one I'm going to be talking about.
Love Poison ||Bellatrix Lestrange||
The description:
What if Bellatrix had the same views as her younger sisters?
Wanting freedom but too afraid to do anything about it, she follows her mother's orders and dates notorious Dark Lord, Tom Riddle. She overhears him talking. A potion to put her in his control. Surely it can't be true, just a joke. No potion would do such a thing, only a poison.
Love Poison, the Untold Truth of Bellatrix Lestrange.
So it's not that bad. I only have one chapter for it though and it's really cringey.
Shockingly, I never did publish it or take it down.
There's not a whole lot for me to say about this, so moving on, the next thing is:
Belly of the Beast {Remus Lupin}
This one's a bit of a mess.
I published the first three/five chapters before taking them down (predictable, I know)
I have music on all of the chapters too, so that tells you how long ago I wrote it. I used to attach music to all of my chapters, but I don't anymore because it takes too much time to find the perfect song to go with them.
I think my favorite line from this is "Unforgivable curses had ripped apart my sister's mind in unforgivable ways."
I want to bring this one back in the future too.
As I'm reading through my drafts I'm noticing that I've told the same story in about seven different ways, so I'm going to be skipping over those ones.
Bloody Brilliant
Another fanfic with an oc. There's not a whole lot to this one. I might bring it back as a short story. It's not my favorite, but I think it has potential.
Chaos Theory
I talked about this in a previous chapter. This is an original idea, so it needs more time for me to create the universe for it. So much of it needs work, but I hope to start publishing chapters at some point this year.
Secret Scandal
I was really excited about this one until I realized that I was basically copying something that I had read before, so this one most likely won't be brought back unless I decide that it's worth the time and effort to completely redo it.
Also, I just realized that The One That Was Forgotten hit 2k reads and I just...It's kind of sad, actually.
The last thing I have is something that I didn't bother to title, but I think the best thing in the little blip of writing has to be:
"And much to Betty's shock, she watched as the book ate her daughter."
Well, I have to go record my speech now. Wish me luck.
Goodbye!
