meeting

Benji pov:

we had arrived at the mall, we walked inside and went over to the Starbuck's stand, we had ordered a drink just like Syd's friend Noen had said to do. we were looking for an open table and managed to find a table with 6 seats. i got a "Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino" just like what Syd had gotten, i got the same as him sense i had never gone to Starbucks's before. we sat down and i started sip my drink. the table we were sitting at was half booth and half chairs. i sat down on the booth side and Syd and Milo were sitting on the chair side. it was ok that they sat on that side because i didn't want to sit with chairs and also because I wasn't really engaged in their conversation. we had been waiting for about 10 minutes and we were all finished with the drinks. I had went to the bathroom really quick and when I came back Syd said that his friends were almost here. I knew it was going to take a while for them to get inside sense the parking lot was full I got on my phone and put my air pods in. I started to watch a Shane Dawson conspiracy theory video, on YouTube.

jeyjey pov:

when we finally arrived at the mall we were struggling to find a parking spot. Noen said that the parking lot for the upper part of the mall, where the food court was, happened to be packed so we had to park on the bottom half of the mall. I had never been to this imperticular mall before so Noen was in the lead. when we walked into the doors of the mall, there was an incredible smell, it smelt like the rest of the malls. but this one smelt a lot cleaner. we walked to where the mall had split into two, and there was a pair of escalators. I have always had a fear of escalators and try to avoid them, but I guess I couldn't now so I just closed my eyes and held on to the railing tightly. when I could feel that the floor started to flatten I open my eyes and quickly hopped over the top. after I got a good look at the food court, I realized that we came from the back. we were now looking for Syd and Milo. over the top of a wall I could see Milo and Syd. we walked over ad we said hi, I didn't see where their friend was but I continued to say hi. I turned around to see if I could see him.... but as I slowly turned around my gut a had a really anxious feeling. then I fulling looked over and It was him. Benji.

Benji pov:

I was still watching Shane when from the corner of my eye I saw a few people come over here to our table. I paused the video and took out my air pods. I didn't recognize anyone but I mean how could If i've only seen the back of their heads?i kept looking over because one of the boy's shirt looked very pretty, it was light pink and it had cute designs on it. he slowly turned around, i kept looking aat him but as soon as i saw half of his face i saw who it was, it was jeyjey!! we staired at each other for what feltlike forever, and then i said hi. when i said that he walked over and he said, " omg your Benji!!". his accent was so cute, i could tell that his first language wasn't English because as he talked there was a slight pause in between his words. i liked it. i replyed with," yeah and you must be jeyjey! by the way i really like your outfit!" when i said that he started to blush. " thank you! its actually my favorite!" " so i heard that you speak Spanish?". " ¡Venga, sí! No hablo español delante de mis amigos siento que no me entienden. Asumo que el inglés es su primer idioma. ¿Correcto? " *oh, yes! I don't speak Spanish in front of my friends, I feel like they don't understand me. I assume English is your first language. Right?*

his voice in Spanish was very fluent and it was nice hearing it from him," ¡Sí! inglés es mi primer sentido del idioma que crecí en él. pero el español también ha estado allí por un tiempo." *Yes! English is my first sense of the language I grew up in it. but the Spaniard has also been there for a while.*

jeyjey sat down next to me on the booth side and we started to talk about tiktok and stuff like that. i guess the others were getting bored because they quickly thought about going shopping already.

jeyjey pov:

me and Benji quickly became friends, and when we got up from the table, Benji offered one of his air pods. we liked most of the same songs, but that was mostly because Syd had recommended them to us. as we walked down the mall all i could feel was joy, i didn't know how to explain how happy i was. i wished this moment would never end. although we had just met, it felt like we had known each other for a thousand years.

Benji pov:

i knew i would remember this day for the rest of my life, so i wanted to make it count, to make me count, to make us count. while Syd, Noen and Milo went into this " trendy type store", me and jeyjey wanted to stay outside and wait. " they always take forever lets go do something else!" jeyjey says quickly as they disappear into the store. neither of us had ever been to this mall and we were about to go wander around it by ourselves????? COOL!!!!!!!! jeyjey had grabbed my hand, his hands were softer than a fresh baby. i looked at him and he started blushing. he looked over into the store and he saw that they were still shopping but getting close to the exit. we sped walked almost all the way to the other side of the mall. he looked at me and said," ok i don'ct know where we are but its away from them! ok how about you find some place". i had an idea, we would get Auntie Annes prestels. it turns out that jeyjey was really hungry, but I let him have most of them sense we shared the cup. i didn't really care. we headed back to the store where the rest of our friends were shopping. when we got a little closer I could see that they were all standing outdid of the store and was looking around for us. when Syd saw us from a close distance, wee walked over to us and he said," where the heck were yall?" "oh we were getting Auntie Aunnes". Syd looked down anf he looked back at us with a smirk. me and jeyjey looked down and we reliesed that we were dtill holding hands. Syd rsn over to the rest of his friends and he was, " omg look, they wiuld make a great couple". Syd wasn't a great whiperer and we could clearly here him. I looked back at jeyjey and he was blushing again. time ahd passed and it was about 7:55, the mall closed at 8 oclock. we were heading out of the mall and we were saying goodbye. we were all talking about stuff and then I looked at jeyjey. his face turned from a smile to a nervous look.

jeyjey pov:

I had had so much fun today, we were talking out side and we all started talking. and then I remember I had really no way of getting home. Syd had no time to take me and milo home. noen had to pick up his sister. I didn't know how Benji was going to get home either. my house was probably about 45 mins away from where we were. I saw that Benji was walking over to me and he said," jeyjey whats wrong?". " oh,... um well I don't really have a way to get home...". I felt really embarrassed and I didn't really know to say to him. " oh that's ok jeyjey, my mom is going to be picking me up from here we can just take you!" I was so relived that I didn't have to keep panicking. I had my phone on me but my mom and dad were at work so they wouldn't answer my calls. I figured it was ok, I mean its not like they would care. they rest of our friends had headed off and me and Benji were sitting on a bench outside.
