It was Victoria's last day at the hospital she was glad to finally get to go home and spend some time with her friends. She was sitting at the edge of her hospital bed thinking about Olivia's passing. Thinking how God works in strange ways it could have been her instead of Olivia. She wished for death that night to join her parents and Cohen. Yet, God only gave her a leg injury and instead took a person full of life.
"Hey ready to go home Tori" Rene snapped her back to reality. He stood at the doorway looking at her strange. Since that night Rene hasn't left Vicky's side. He felt as if he failed his parents wishes. He wasn't there to protect his sister and instead he almost let her slip from his grasp. Rene was sure not to let that happen ever again and was more than grateful to go home with his sister by his side.
As they were leaving a boy was at the lobby repeatedly asking for a nurse to check him. "Leo go home we have told you plenty of times you are perfectly fine this is your fourth time coming after billions of times understand you are a healthy teenage boy" the nurse assured the boy then quickly left to attend other sick patients.
"Hey wait here while I go around for my car" he sat her at an uncomfortable lobby chair then walked over to get the car. "Hey nice leg cast my names Leonardo the color pink really suits your skin tone" the strange boy came over making him self comfortable next to the injured girl. He seemed to notice that the girl didn't answer him so he spoke again.
"I have a horrible feeling on my lungs I'm pretty sure I have lung cancer but nurses here are awful" he stretched back screaming a little louder about the awful nurses. He wanted the nurses to hear what he had to say. Most of the nurses rolled their eyes used to the boy's nonsense. One of the nurses sitting at the reception threw a rolled up paper at his head. He scrunched up his face as he grabbed the paper that was thrown at him.
"That's Carol she's just angry at the world because she a lonely old women" this made Victoria giggle. The boy was strange but there is nothing wrong with being a bit strange. "Leonardo you better shut your pie hole or I'll kick you out" the older lady threatened the younger boy. He quickly put his hand up in surrender then pretended to lock his lips and throw the key away.
"Let's go" Rene came in with Victoria's crutches and helped her up. They were reaching the door before the boy ran to their side tripping on his way but getting up quickly. "I never got your name" his hair was disheveled and a bruise was beginning to form on his cheek. "My name is Victoria Gonzales nice to meet you" ... She was making her way to the Martinez household feeling this anxiety overcome her. She was afraid and she wasn't sure why she couldn't explain it. The feeling was just like she couldn't breath and she tried to scream for help but she couldn't. She should have accepted Oscars offer to drive her here not only where her thighs chafing because of the stupid skirt and her arms hurting because of the crutches but she was having a panic attack in the middle of the street.
