Chap 40 - The Battle for the Prophecy

Y/n's POV

Things have gotten worse and worse here at Hogwarts with that pink claded pig faced toad, Umbitch in charge. She's been changing everything! The once beloved and beautiful school I've known for these six years of my life is crumbling all around us students, she's banned magic, flying brooms, going to Hogsmeade, letters from home and not allowing Poppy to cure the damage of her special quills so I've been healing them all one by one. She's even sacking teachers whom disobey her. Since Dumbledore left I can't do the job he had assigned to me mainly acting as a double agent in Voldemort's Death Eaters. I'm relishing to fight them since Voldemort thinks I'm a double agent in the order thus a perfect little spy for him along with my godfather Severus beside me.

"This can't go on anymore Freddie, Georgie and Lee Lee. Why is it that everytime I try to help out it just makes things worse?" Y/n questions as they were in the common room trying to think on how to pull the ultimate prank on the pig faced toad. "Your doing the best you can, Lioness. No one faults you for that." Lee said as she looked up at him before holding up her friends and boyfriends newly scarred hands. "How is this the best, Lee. The more I care, the more I have to lose. Maybe it's better if I do this alone so that no one I love gets hurt ever again." She said honestly before Fred pulled her into a tight hug. "You'll never be alone, N/n. Don't you see that...You have so many people whom care about you and are willing to fight just to protect you and Harry as you both have saved us all year after year." He said as Fred felt his sweater get wet from Y/n actually crying into his chest as she gripped onto his sweater while George and Lee along with Fred group hugged her. Minvera watched her goddaughter break down little by little as she remembered the once sweet yet playful girl whom first stepped into these halls, whom swore to protect everyone within even if it destroyed her. Now Minvera saw a young woman slowly crushing down from the weight of everyone's hope and lives on her own and her brother's shoulders. "Mr. Weasley is right Y/n, you are never truly alone in this mad world of ours." Y/n, Fred, George and Lee looked over at The head of their house as she walked towards them as she tilted Y/n's head up slightly. "You are my goddaughter and prized pupil, you've proven time and time again that you will never back down from a battle without a fight. You show compassion to everyone regardless if they've harmed you or not." Minvera said before hugging the girl close as Y/n's e/c eyes widened slightly since Minvera hadn't gave her a hug since her first year of Hogwarts. Y/n smiled sadly before hugging her godmother back.

~Later that night in the Potions Classroom~

Y/n watched as Severus tried to train Harry on blocking him from entering his memories. "That's private." Harry said as Y/n looked over at them. "Not to me. And not to the Dark Lord if you don't improve, your sister has already mastered the defense." Severus said as he walked up to Harry. "Every memory he has access to is a weapon he can use against you, both of you. You won't last two seconds if he invades your mind." Y/n stood up angrily at her godfather's next words. "You're just like your father: lazy, arrogant." Y/n stormed beside Harry before they yelled at him together. "Don't say a word against our father!" Severus looked over at his goddaughter as she noticed what he was trying to do. "Weak." Harry stepped in front of his sister. "I'm not weak!" Severus glared at Harry. "Then prove it. Since you've first began your education here, your sister has always protected you and herself from harm's way while getting gravely injured by doing so, control your emotions as she did, disciple your mind as she did." Severus said as he took his wand out and pointed it at Harry. "Legilimens!" Y/n watched her brother experience Severus invading his memories. "One day Severus your going to go to far that even I won't forgive you." She said before Harry managed to push Severus out. "Stop it!" Harry gasped as Y/n looked over at Harry worried. "Is this what you call control?" Severus said as Harry walked away from him. "We've been at it for hours. If I could just rest!" Y/n noticed a flash of pure anger throughout Harry's and Severus's eyes. "The Dark Lord isn't resting. You and Black, you're two of a kind--sentimental children forever whining about how bitterly unfair your lives have been. Well, it may have escaped your notice, but life isn't fair. Your blessed father knew that. In fact, he frequently saw to it." Y/n pulled Severus away from Harry having enough of him bad mouthing her uncle, father and brother. "Our father was a great man!" Harry shouted out angrily as Y/n took her wand out at the ready. "Your father was a swine." Y/n and Harry held their wands out as Severus casted Legilimens, they casted Protego thus making it back fired to Severus as the Potter siblings began to see Severus's memories from his time at Hogwarts and the original Marauders.
