He wasn't aloud to eat before anyone.
He could no longer kiss the top of Bronwyn's head after a nightmare.
He didn't kiss Emma's hand before walking with her, like he used to.
And he did it all in fear he would die, all over again.

"Ready?" Violet had hers and Victor's hands clasped into each other's, their fingers slightly locking.
"As I'll ever be," was all Victor responded.
The room was spinning and everyone heald onto something.
Oliver fell to the ground but Violet couldn't lose focus. Or she could kill them both.
Bright blue light shot from their eyes and cascaded along the walls, indicating that Victor's eye color had changed to her's.
They were lifted off of the ground, slowly, their fingers still intertwined. Then everything was still.
Violet had given part of her soul to Victor.
She smiled.
Suddenly it wasn't gravity holding Violet to the ground.
It was him.

Bronwyn rushed into the room and looked at Victor's bed.
"His body. . It's gone. . " Everyone turned to look at the empty bedsheets that hadn't been touched.
The boy that Bronwyn had known for her entire life, just disappeared, and was now replaced, but by. . The exact same person?
"Vic?" Bronwyn squeaked.
Victor looked at her and smiled. He pulled away from Violet's warm grasp and picked up his smaller sister with ease. He carefully placed her on his right shoulder and walked back to Violet, picking her up also, and placing her on the opposite shoulder.
"You two are absolutely amazing. I love you both," he looked at Violet, "Thank you, so much," he paused before saying, "Words, cannot describe how grateful I am, that you showed up," he paused again and thought for a few seconds, "How could I ever repay- no. . There's no possible way. You just re-united me with my reason for living. I am, forever, in your debt," he put her down and pulled her into the warmest, most loving hug she had ever experienced.
"Bedtime, children!" Miss. Peregrine boomed through the room and down the hallways.

When everything had settled down, Violet and Victor finally got some time alone, to talk, just the two of them.
"Tell me about yourself," Violet stated, attempting to get to know the older Bruntley better.
"Well," Victor began, "Hmm. . . I like the color blue," Violet giggled at his adorable awkwardness, "Erm- . . I don't know, I like. . . Music?"
This interested Violet."What kinds?"
They continued to talk throughout the night. Mostly about music, books, drawing, Bronwyn, Enoch, and about food for a few minuets.
Finally, Violet pulled her cellphone and checked the time.
Violet Stark
2:37 am"Hello, Siri," she started, "Play my downloaded playlist called, 'lovely,' from Spotify."
Music was heard from the speaker on Violet's phone.
"Woah. . . Whats that?" Victor asked.
"It's my phone. You can play music, read online books, send messages, call people, and oh- you can take pictures. Here press this button," she pressed the camera and put her face close to Victor's.
He pressed the button after smiling.
"Adorable," Violet whispered.
"Hm?"
"Oh, nothing," she answered quickly, setting the picture as her screensaver.
The night continued, and Victor ended up sleeping beside Violet, in her bed.
They listened to music and fell asleep in each other's arms.
Yet, they had no idea, that everything was about to change.
