Steve's breath was now controlled, and all he focused on was what Robin would say next.

"I'm not like Nancy Wheeler." Robin sighed, feeling as though she wasn't good enough for Steve, despite how much of a dingus he was.

"That's exactly why I like you so much." Steve lightly smiled, leaning in closer to Robin.

She let her head rest against the bathroom tile wall. Robin repeatedly reminded herself not to fall for Steve Harrington. He hadn't given her a second glance back in high school, so why should she ever think of him like that?

"Knowing you now, I hate myself even more for never talking to you. You're the most smart, funniest, and if I totally am just letting down my guard, you're so beautiful. God...I am such a dork, just one more thing you're right about." Steve laughed at himself, shaking his head at his attempts.

Robins eyes eased on him, "I didn't lie, you know? I really really do like you. I just never thought i'd be telling you that."

Steve couldn't help but smile, something he'd gotten used to doing around this girl he liked so much.

"So..." Steve murmured quietly, still faintly smiling at Robin.

"So..." she repeated, a soft smile forming on her lips too.

Steve took the opportunity to grab Robins hand in his, gentle intertwining his fingers with hers. The two simply stood in silence, holding each other's hand and appreciating the moment.

"I would kiss you right now, but I feel like that would be a shitty first kiss, being in a bathroom and all," Steve joked, although being totally serious.

"Oh yeah," Robin giggled, "After we puked out some Russian drugs from our system? I might have to politely decline,"

Steve stood up, swinging Robin up with him, and led her out of the bathroom, completely forgetting about their two other members of the Scoop Troop.

"Care for one last ice cream? You know, before the world ends and all," Robin joked, as the two ran along the aisles of the mall, halting at the Scoops Ahoy shop, which they dreaded seeing anytime they weren't working, and even when they work.

"Just for you... Besides, who else would i wanna spend my dying moments with?" Steve joked, sliding over the clear glass that held the ice cream in.

He made a vanilla cone with sprinkles and a cherry on top, and handing it over to Robin with a glowing smile.

"How'd you know that was my favorite?" Robin asked surprised.

"C'mon, I might've been a careless shit in high school but I pay attention more now." Steve said, whilst making himself his traditional USS Butterscotch.

The two flew into the back doors of their shop and into their break room, sitting down on the cushy table chairs.

"Wonder... how long it's gonna take meat loaf and erica....to find us..." Steve wondered out loud, taking licks from his ice cream in between.

"Let's just enjoy these few moments we have alone together," Robin smirked.

"You know," Steve began, a sly grin approaching his lips.

"What?" Robin asked excitedly.

"My lips taste like straight sweet butterscotch now," He smiled cheekily.

"Oh my god, Harrington!" Robin giggled, causing Steve to lift his hands in defense, "What?" He laughed.

"Well, I gotta admit. Butterscotch is better than fresh vomit breath." Robin added, leaning over the table slightly and meeting eyes with Steve.

"Oh yeah?" he smirked, eyes becoming softer when caught with Robins.

"Yeah," Robin said ever so lightly that it almost seemed as if she didn't say anything at all, due to her being so caught up in the moment.

Seconds later the two scoop buddies were inches apart from each other, breath heavy and hearts pounding.

The two finally connected lips, something Steve never would've imagined when starting the job with Robin, and she could say the same.

Before Steve could pull away and see Robins reaction, the door beside them flew open, and the two dropped their ice creams on the table.

"I knew it!" Dustin screamed, Erica groaning beside him.

"Steve and Robin sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Erica chanted.

Robin buried her face into her hands and Steve simply stood up and pushed Dustin.

"You're just mad because the girl i like is real," Steve bickered.

"Oh so is Robin your girlfriend now? Also, hey Suzie is real, dickhead!" Dustin exclaimed.

"N-No not, girlfriend." Robin intervened.

"Look, it doesn't matter! We need to go, now!" Erica yelled, breaking up the argument.

"We'll talk  about this after we save the world, again." Dustin grabbed Steve and Robins hand whilst dragging them out of the back door.

Steve looked over to Robin and the two simple let out a few giggles.

Steve finally had a best friend, and she liked him.
