It's a treasure that you find
Worth more than you to you
It's always on your mind
There's nothing you can do.
It's an openness complete
That nothing comes between
Embarrassment goes obsolete
Everyone knows everything.
It's talking all night long
About anything at all
It's singing silly songs
And bouncing off the wall.
It's saying cheesy lines
Because they finally are true
And remembering old times
Back when everything was new.
It's doing what you should
Not just the stuff you'd like
It's thinking of their good
It's not easy, but it's right.
It's going to all ends
and giving up your time
Far beyond being just friends
It is sacred and sublime.
It's getting in a fight
But repenting moments after
Soon forgetting all your spite
And avoiding a disaster.
It's something that grows stronger
With every passing day
And no matter how much longer
It will never pass away.
It defies all likelihood
and aces any test
every challenge is withstood
And it cannot be suppressed.
It's something words cannot describe
and explanations do not help
It makes you feel like you're alive
And though unseen, it can be felt.
It's a passion so immense
That too much is not enough
It's a caring so intense
Something selfless, it is LOVE.
