The man enters his suite and lets out a sigh of relief. It has been a long day of working with these politicians to see his side of the story. He removes his suit jacket, putting it in the closet as he moves towards the mini bar in the room. The brown liquor fills the crystal glass as he takes a sip of the strong liquor. He strips down to his briefs, walking to the bathroom and looks in the mirror.
"You're getting old Sergeant," he mumbles as he examines the bags under his eyes and the grey hairs popping up in the front.
He decides on a bath, filling the porcelain tub with warm water, Epsom salt, and some of the lavender-scented bubble bath the hotel provided. He removes the last of his clothes before climbing into the warm water. He lets out a deep moan, his muscles relaxing. He closes his eyes, resting his head on the towel he rolled up to be a pillow.
Unknown to him, a black liquid bubbles in the shower drain, morphing into a woman dressed in all black. She steps out the shower, silently moving towards the tub.
The man's eyes fly open as his throat fills with blood and he gurgles, the blood spilling from his mouth and neck. The woman dips the dagger in the bathwater, washing it of the blood before she looks at the dying man.
She smirks before closing his eyes as he goes still. She writes something on the glass before she leaves, shifting back into the liquid and disappear down the drain.
The image of a royal purple pomegranate is drawn on the corner of the glass, the silent reminder of the woman who was there.
The black dog stands on his hind legs, unlocking the door as he quietly enters his owner's room. He walks over to the bed, laying down with his head on her chest. She moans, gently pushing his head away as she sits up. He watches as she shuffles to the bathroom, closing the door as she begins to get ready for the day.
She emerges about 20 minutes later with a black towel wrapped around her. The dog watches as she enters her closet, rummaging around before reappearing in black jeans, a black sweater, and a leather jacket. She sprays herself before looking at her dog.
"Come on Nero."
He smiles, following after her as she grabs her black duffel bag and a small black backpack. She makes sure she has her phones before she leaves.
"Good Morning Madam Hel. Forgive me for my lateness."
"Good Morning Mr. Roman."
Dante Roman sits across from Kasdeya Hel, the woman stroking Nero's head. She's an intimidating person even when all she is doing is sitting with a cup of coffee before her and a rather large dog in her lap.
The waiter walks over and Dante smiles, asking for a cup of coffee. Kasdeya watches Dante, still stroking Nero's ears as he becomes comfortable.
"I assume you received the payment for your last job."
"I did."
"Correct amount?"
"All $2.5 million is sitting in my bank account pretty. Why did you call me here?"
"Straight to the point I see."
"Mr. Roman forgive me but we aren't friends. Not even acquaintances. You are my boss. Now, what do you want?"
"Watch your tone."
"My tone never changed."
Dante smirks as he pulls a small black envelope out and pushes it over to her. She takes it, looking at the wax seal with the image of an inverted cross in the middle. She looks at him.
"I think you will like this job."
Using her nail, she breaks the seal as she takes the white manila card out, reading the name.
"When is he wanted?"
"As soon as possible."
"How much?"
"And I quote 'whatever your lady desires'."
Dante sips his tea as Kasdeya tucks the envelope into her jacket. She stands, grabbing her bag.
"Come Nero."
Nero climbs down from his chair, following after Kasdeya who walks out, getting into the black car and pulls off. Dante sighs as he continues to enjoy the rest of his tea.
The man mumbles under his breath, cursing whoever is knocking on his door. He opens it before grinning, a shit-eating grin appearing.
"Hello, Beautiful."
"Erik."
Erik chuckles as he steps to the side to let Kasdeya and Nero in. Erik pets Nero as he sits on the couch, looking at Kasdeya who stands across from him. She tosses the envelope in his lap. He raises an eyebrow as he opens it, reading the name.
"How much are you getting paid?"
"As much as I desire."
"You can't kill him."
"Says who?"
"Says me. He's mine."
Kasdeya looks at him before walking over, straddling his lap. Erik purrs as she runs her fingers through his locs and he gently squeezes her butt, pressing his nose in her pulse.
"I'm going to kill him. You can either help or stay out my way."
"How much do I get for helping?" Erik asks as he rubs her butt, looking up at her.
"Twenty percent of whatever amount I ask."
"I want fifty."
"Twenty-five. Final offer."
Erik growls before slapping her ass. Nero growls, Erik looking at the huge black dog.
"Nero doesn't appreciate when men hit me."
"It's a love tap."
"He doesn't care. Now: yes or no."
Erik studies Kasdeya before standing, holding her in his arms.
"Fine. Twenty-Five percent and I help."
"Good," Kasdeya says with a smile, kissing his cheek. "Now put me down."
Erik obeys, putting the assassin down as she fixes herself.
"Until next time Erik."
"Yeah. Next time."
Kasdeya leaves with Nero walking beside her. She is about to enter her car when she hears the faint sound of a camera. She slowly turns her head, spotting the woman who is acting like she's taking a picture of something or someone that isn't Kasdeya but she isn't stupid.
"Subicite."
Nero charges the woman, catching her leg in his mouth as she tries to flee down an ally. Kasdeya walks over, pulling black gloves on as she walks down the alley. She picks up the dropped camera, looking at it before looking over at the struggling woman.
"Revertetur."
Nero releases the woman, returning to Kasdeya's side. The woman stands, revealing her face.
"Agent Romanoff. Spying on me? Again?"
Natasha is silent. Kasdeya drops the camera as she crushes it under her heel.
"Next time, I won't tell Nero to be so nice. Come."
She walks off, Nero giving one last growl to Natasha before following Kasdeya.
