"Lily, over here!!" Kino shouted, smiling from the edge of the balcony at the club as he saw her walking towards him. He texted her not long after she left and told her that their work was celebrating a job well done with landing a big business deal. Thank the Lord she agreed to come along.

Lily straightened out her dress and took a deep breath. Jackson had just called her on the way there and explained he had to go on a special trip for one of the important work clients, but he would be back the following day.

"Don't let any other guy steal your heart except me..." He half heartedly joked before he hung up with her. Those words were ringing in her ears as she walked towards Kino and her heart fluttered for a moment. He looked different to her ever since their encounter, but she tried to shake off the butterflies.

"You wore my favorite dress on you, it looks breathtaking.." Kino innocently exclaims, twirling Lily around in a quick circle before hugging her.

"Aigoo Kino, your going to make me blush! Want a quick drink?" Lily says nervously, watching as Kino nods

"Aigoo Kino, your going to make me blush! Want a quick drink?" Lily says nervously, watching as Kino nods.

"2 Tequila Sunrises... don't act like you wouldn't miss our favorite drink together.." He teases as she shyly grins and heads off. Jinyoung shook his head at a corner table as he sipped his Rum and Coke. He had a sneaking suspicion that Kino liked Lily, but never thought he would be bold enough to try things.

As Lily chatted up some fellow co-workers, Jinyoung walked over cockily and stopped in front of Kino, who gave him a look of annoyance

As Lily chatted up some fellow co-workers, Jinyoung walked over cockily and stopped in front of Kino, who gave him a look of annoyance.

"How did that slap feel pabo? Don't be mad that she might actually move on and find someone who might treat her better." Kino remarks snarkily, watching as Jinyoung's fists ball up at his sides, but he keeps calm for the moment.

"What makes you think you have a chance in hell with her? I may have messed up, but it seems like there is other competition by what you were implying the other day. Better play your best cards dude.." Jinyoung poked Kino in the chest, watching as he stepped back, trying not to cause a scene.

"I'll ask you to not touch me again, I don't like the smell of trash and desperation lingering on my clothes.." Kino starts to reply as he starts to walk by Jinyoung and bumps his shoulder, which sets him off.

"I'll show you trash!” He hissed, throwing a quick punch and connecting with Kino's jaw, making him groan. Lily looked up to see the exchange and raced over to help Kino, giving Jinyoung a glare so cold that he almost started to shiver.

"I don't know what went on, but you both knock it off. There is NO reason to fight here, it's supposed to be a fun time." She whispers, moving Kino away from Jinyoung and a fellow worker brings their drinks to the table where Kino and Lily sat down at. She nods in appreciation and then starts to reach into her purse.

"Jinja, you do have everything in there.." He weakily mumbled as she pulled out a small bandaid and some antiseptic wipes.

"You know how accident prone I am.." She says matter of factly, scooting closer to him and gently grasping his chin with one hand. As she starts to clean it up, Kino heard a song start to play and it explained every feeling towards Lily that he had felt since they met. As they sipped on their drinks in the meantime, the anticipation was killing him. It was time for him to make a bigger move than his confession earlier on in the day.

"And I know there's no making this right, this right (This right)
And I know there's no changing your mind, your mind (Your mind)
But we both found each other tonight, tonight (Oh yeah)
So if love is nothing more than just a waste of your time." Jungkook crooned over the speakers as Lily swayed her head back and forth.

"Ah, BTS... I love this song.." Lily absentmindedly said, looking up a little to see how Kino was looking at her like she was the only person in the club.

"How about it Lily? Why not waste it on me?" Kino says almost in a whisper, his breath hot on her lips as he leaned forward and it felt like fireworks exploded as their lips connected.

Rm's part played on as Kino and Lily seemed frozen in time with the kids that honestly was long over due in their incredibly tight knit friendship, or who knows where their feelings would take them.

"Yay, don't you think there must be a reason?
Yeah, like we had our names.
Don't you think we got another season,
That come after spring?
I wanna be your summer
I wanna be your wave
Treat me like a comma
I'll take you to a new phrase
Yeah, come just eat me and throw me away
If I'm not your taste, babe, waste
Waste it on me."

As Lily pulled back after what seemed like an eternity, she felt her feelings change towards Kino. Maybe some of those times that she thought he was being a caring best guy friend, he could have honestly wanted to show her how she should be treated.

"K-Kino, I...I.." She starts to stutter, her hand grasping his softly, her thumb stroking the top of his hand.

"If you need to go and think about things, you can. But know I'll never let you hurt like Jinyoung did. It was worth the cowardly punch he threw at me. Your worth everything to me." He leaned over and he felt his whole world flip upside down as she hugged him back just as tight.

"Thank you Kino.." Lily kissed him on the lips quickly again, the electricity still lingering as he watched her walk out the door.

"Jackson better try his hardest to win her heart because I'm not giving up anytime soon, that girl is too much of a treasure to let someone else discover how precious she is." Kino thought to himself, drinking the rest of his Tequila Sunrise and quickly heading home to avoid Jinyoung.
