Chapter 5

(N/H)'s POV
Lou, Caden, and I are in Ox's office. I'm sitting between Lou and Caden with Lou on my left and Caden on my right. Caden hasn't looked at me since we arrived here. I still don't get why we got in trouble. Lou and I were just dancing and singing until Caden got mad at me. Why would he be so upset at me? Is it so bad for me to be with Lou? A doll who used to rule the town...
Ox is sitting in front of us and says "So, what was the fuss about?"
"Lou! Lou is the fuss around here! He shouldn't be near any doll, especially (N/H).", Caden says angrily.
"And why not?!", asks Lou angrily.
"Because you're the worst doll that has ever existed!", answers Caden.
"No! He is not the worst doll here!", I yell.
Caden looks at me angrily like if I'm saying something wrong.
"Okay, okay. Everybody calm down. Caden you start explaining from your point of view what happen. Okay?", says Ox.
"Fine.", says Caden sternly.
"So what happen?", Ox asks.
"Well...LOU AND (N/H) WERE DANCING AND SINGING TOGETHER AND THEY SHOULDN'T BE DOING THAT! AT LEAST NOT LOU! LOU DOESN'T DESERVE TO DO ANYTHING AT ALL EXCEPT WORKING AS A JANITOR!", Caden yells!
"Okay okay!", says Ox.
"Lou, what's your side of the story?", asks Ox.
"Well, I don't think there's no rule for me that says I can't dance or sing whenever I want, is there Ox?", says Lou.
"Yes, your actually right Lou, but you were bothering (N/H)?", asks Ox.
"No!", Lou and I both said at the same time.
"No, Lou wasn't bothering me at all.", I answer surely.
Caden looks at me with a shock expression like if I just said something crazy.
"Well Caden, I don't really see the problem with Lou being with (N/H).", Ox tells Caden.
"The problem is...is that...I can't say it.", Caden starts.
I wonder what's his reasons for him not wanting Lou to stay with me? Is he really that angry with Lou? Or with me?
Ox then tells me to leave his office for a moment while he talks to Caden and Lou in private. I wonder what Ox is going to say to them? I mean it can't be bad because Ox doesn't look like the type of doll to be strict or mean. Either way I hope this ends soon and everything goes okay.

Lou's POV
Ox tells (N/H) to leave for a moment. So he wants to talk to Caden and I? Okay then...Caden I hope you have combat phrase cause I have plenty. Ox then comes and sit down on my office of course. I never told him he could have it, so it's got to be still mine.
"So, it seems that both of you seem to be fond of (N/H).", says Ox.
"WHAT!", Caden and I both said at the same time.
"No, no, no, no, no, it's nothing like that.", says Caden.
"Yeah", I agreed.
"Then why are you guys both so attached to her? Why?", asks Ox.
"Because she's a prototype just like me!", I yelled.
"You knew? But how?", Caden asks me.
"Cause she told me", I answered.
"You didn't tell her what it meant, did you?", Caden asks desperately.
"No, no, of course not!", I assure him.
"Wait! Hold on! You mean to tell me that (N/H) is a prototype? Just like you, Lou?", Ox asks me.
"Yes. Yes, but (N/H) doesn't know and she can't never know.", I say.
"Why not? She deserves to know the truth.", says Ox.
"Because if we tell her what she is, it's only going to hurt her because prototypes can't ever go to the 'Big World' and you know that Ox.", Caden says.
"Yes, you're right about that, but I do believe that she needs to know the truth or else she's just going to get hopes of going to the 'Big World' when we all know that she can't.", says Ox.
"So, you want her to know the ugly truth about herself? Is that what your saying Ox? Really?", I said.
"Lou's got a point, Ox. We can't just tell her. Besides, so far she hasn't had any interest of going to the 'Big World' and we have to make sure to keep it that way. This way she never needs to know that she's a prototype.", Caden says.
"Alright, here's the deal boys. I'm not going to say anything, yet, but I want you two to get along. I don't want you guys fighting over (N/H).", says Ox.
"What!", Caden and I said at the same time!
"No, I'm not fighting for (N/H)! I was just angry when she was with this jerk!", says Caden.
"And I  just was spending time with (N/H)! I just wanted to get to know her better. That's all. And who are you calling a jerk when you were the one who yelled at her. ", I said.
Caden and I look at each other angrily until Ox interrupts us, "Okay, okay, the main issue of plot here is that we all agree not to tell (N/H) that she's a prototype, for now. But I do expect you both to work together to keep this a secret. Okay?", says Ox.
"WHAT!", Caden and I said again, but this time louder.
"Shhh! Don't yell. You guys don't want (N/H) to find out the truth, do you?", asks Ox.
"No, but Lou and I can't work together!", says Caden.
I immediately agree with him.
"Well, your going to have to cause this is the only way to keep this a secret.", Ox explains.
"But...", I begin.
"Enough.", orders Ox.
"If you two don't want (N/H) to know about this, then I suggest you two to work together to keep this a secret between us and only us. Do I make myself clear?", asks Ox.
"Yes sir", says Caden.
"Lou?", says Ox.
"Okay", I answered.
I don't know how Caden and I are going to work together, but we going to have to do this one way or the other to make sure that (N/H) never ever finds the ugly truth...
